For those of you who noticed, yes, I skipped my May newsletter. What can I say? Last month was like two months long. A fab month, but soooooo much happened. All of it good, but very hectic. And I was just too slammed to write a newsletter, so I thought I’d catch everyone up in this blog post.

The first of May my agent and I parted ways on friendly terms. And on May 2, I sent out a “Special Message” to all of you, explaining what had happened and why. I cannot thank you enough for your kind and generous response. I really felt your love at one of the lowest points of my career, emotionally and financially. I thank all of you from the bottom of my heart for the way you rallied around me. You are truly AMAZING!

Then on May 13, “A Vampire’s Kiss” went on sale in the Kindle Store. Yay! I’ve wanted to be in Kindle forever, so I’m thrilled about this. Sales have been strong and steady, so I’m a happy slut for sure.

As you know, I’ve been doing a gazillion interviews for book review blogs the last two months (love them!). And some of those interviews have appeared on this blog. But the one I’m posting today is made up of questions from YOU, my blog readers.

First I wanna thank everyone who responded to the Special Message I sent to my email list Sunday night. What can I say? I was totally overwhelmed with your loving response. Damn, I’m a lucky woman to have you guys! Yeah, it’s been a rough 15 months for me, and that’s the first time in 23 years I’ve ever had to send out a message like that. But this career-clusterfuck I’m caught in is just too big for me to handle without your help. Plus, I knew many of you would be pissed if you found out I was in serious trouble and didn’t tell ya. So I did.

At any rate, I totally appreciate everyone who emailed and bought books to show your support for me and my writing. I truly have the BEST readers/fans/friends in the world. No doubt about it!

An awesome interview with me appeared last Friday on the “Books, Books, and More Books” blog (www.ruthiesbookreviews.blogspot.com). Ruth Schaller did a fab job with her questions! If you missed my tweets about it last Friday I thought you might like to take a look at it here.

I’ve done like seven interviews so far since “A Vampire’s Kiss” was published on March 9. The wild thing is even if some of the same questions are asked (and they are from time to time) my answers are always different. Why? Cause it just depends on what kinda mood this slut is in: slutty, sluttier, or sluttiest. No wonder one of my fans said she loves reading these interviews since she learns something different about me every time. Now you know why. lmao!

Speaking of that, I’m posting most of these interviews on my book site (”Interviews” button at http://www.avampskiss.blogspot.com) if you’d like to read more of them. And I just finished another interview on Thursday night that will go live May 5 on a vamp review blog. I was wide open that night, so it’s the sluttiest one yet. No kidding. Just in case you’re wondering, I did NOT behave myself in the interview. Not my fault! I’ve got strippers-on-the-brain syndrome. Although I‘d much rather have them on another part of my bod. Purrrrrrrrrrrrrrr….!

All I can say is it was an AWESOME two weeks leading up to my 53rd birthday last Friday. I must have received over 200 emails, PMs, DMs, cards, and calls, as well as tons of postings from friends, readers, and fans at EONS, Facebook, PaganSpace, and Twitter wishing me a happy birthday. Most said they wanted to send their gifts and good wishes early, because they didn’t wanna miss my special day.

Wow! Thanks, everyone! I was totally overwhelmed with your love and kindness. It meant the world to me. Really. Like I always say, you are the BEST!!

So how did my birthday go on the homefront? Funny you should ask…

As most of you know, my birthday was last Friday. On Wednesday I’d been working all day, cleaning up my email list. There’s a large group of people on my list who no longer open my email notifications, yet they won’t opt out either. So I went through every name (ugh!…took like 16 hours…yeah, it’s a large list), and I eliminated most of them. Totally worth it cause now my list is lean and trim. Yay!

When Wes came home that evening I took a break and went downstairs to the kitchen to make dinner.

Let me back up for a minute. One of my hobbies is gardening. There are three flower gardens outside in my front yard (roses, lilies, morning glories, and azaleas). And I use two rooms in my house for my offices. My computer, office equipment, and several tables are in one room. The other room is for storage where I keep my book inventory, files, and packing materials for shipping book orders. There’s a large, sunny window in that room where I grow spinach in a container garden 365 days a year for the spinach and black olive pizzas I love to make every week.

Ten minutes later I’m standing at the counter in the kitchen, slicing olives and chopping fresh spinach leaves for an organic pizza. When Wes walks up behind me to get a glass of water, I stick my ass out and rub it against his cock. Of course.

As many of you know, tomorrow is my birthday.  I’ll be 53.  Yikes!  Hard to believe, since I swear I’m not a day over 18, right?  *delusional grin*
