If You’ve Ever Wondered What Blaine Looks Like…
Okay, after much searching on the web, Cheryl and I finally found a pic of what Blaine looks like, the yummy hero in my latest erotic paranormal romance novel, Call of the Witches: Book Three of the Witchery Series. I swear that sweet, peaceful look on his face is sooooo Blaine, isn’t it? Not to mention the long brown hair and sexy bod (even though Blaine is a bit leaner). Still this guy comes realllllly close to the ultra-sexy Blaine in that novel.
But don’t ask me who he is in real life. I’m totally clueless. I found this pic on the Paul J. Lucas site, which features yummy pics of men with long hair (yes, one of Cheryl’s awesome finds!). Paul usually tells you who these yummy guys are. But a few are labeled as unknown, and that was the case with this pic. No big deal. He’s Blaine to me now. *lusty grin*

The October issue of my newsletter is going out this morning, and in it you’ll find two reviews of this new novel. Here’s another review posted last week by my LJ and Goodreads friend, Melissa. Enjoy!!

“I LOVE this book. I have to say that by far, CALL OF THE WITCHES is my favorite book in the Witchery Series. There is so much to love about this book, the positivity, the empowering messages, the passion! and the love stories! This book just rocked my socks off. I hated putting it down for even a few minutes at a time and at the end all I could think was "Noooooo! I want more!!!"
Maylene Whitmire, a Wiccan Witch, moves to Columbia, SC from Charleston. She has been a magnet for loser boyfriends for quite awhile. Each of the men in her past seemed different but the relationships all ended badly. Her Patron Goddess, Artemis, suggests a two-year long celibacy vow so that she can empower herself and begin attracting the type of men she deserves. When Maylene arrives in Columbia, she has a little over 2 months until the end of her vow.
Blaine Rutledge is a super nice and hot Wiccan Green Witch that Maylene meets at her neighbor’s house. Sparks sizzle between them but Maylene’s vow is not complete. She must wait out the end of her vow before she can begin dating so that she will be empowered and will attract the right type of man. Maylene and Blaine become friends and spend time together. This is quite difficult for both of them because their sex desire for one another just keeps building.
There is lots and lots of passion in this book!! The love scenes are smoking hot…you’ll need a glass of ice water to pour on yourself to cool down! And then maybe a cold shower to follow up
Unless of course, you are able to act on the passions it ignites in you…then by all means take a break and then come back for more
We see several of the characters that have already been introduced in the series, and we get a glimpse of a couple of the characters that will appear in the Manigault Vampires series.
I love the way Laura writes her characters. They all seem like people you know or have known. Her dialogue is always fun, and her writing is always poetic. If you are a fan of paranormal romance and don’t mind lots of smokin’ hot sex in your books, this is definitely one to try out! I LOVE it!! Her books are awesome. They have such positive and empowering messages. Definitely an enjoyable read, and it has me waiting for the next book

Enjoyed reading the monthly newsletter. And loved the excerpt from the book. I’ve told people I want money for my birthday and I’m going to treat myself to the books. Could I ask though…the lady from Spain who mentioned the prosperity spell she’d read in, ‘The Witches of Dixie,’ could you tell me about it? I’m a teacher who’s realised that she’s fallen out of love with teaching. I’m trying to make changes in my life, turning vegetarian and going to the gym. What I’m trying do is create a way of life that’s meaningful to me…I’m tired of marching to the beat other’s drums. It’s not who I am anymore, nor is it working for me.
But I do need to do something with my life. I want to sell my place and move next year so I can go back to University to get an M.A. in English Literature. When I think of prosperity, I don’t just think of financial. I’m thinking of prospering as a person, having adventures I’ve never had. Meeting new people, expanding my horizons. I’d like to find something meaningful I can do with my working life, maybe something that I could take with me when I move.
Does any of this make sense? I’ve never expected a free lunch, so to speak. I was taught that nothing was worth having unless you put the work in to get it. So I’m not thinking I cast the spell and that’s it…I would put in the work needed to follow it up. I’m asking because I’m lacking inspiration at the moment and I’ve not been a witch that long.
Anyway. Enough rambling on my part and no hard feelings if you feel you couldn’t help or this spell wouldn’t help.

I’m so glad you enjoyed the newsletter! And what you are saying makes perfect sense to me. In fact it is one of the reasons why the three novels in the Witchery series are so empowering. They help women find their true path in life, because over the last twenty years so many women have come to me with just what you have said, looking for answers too.
For example, the latest novel, “Call of the Witches,” is about Maylene, who is a lot like you. You first meet her in “The Witches of Dixie.” There she has to learn how to follow her heart and find the right profession. She realizes where she is at isn’t working for her anymore, so she embraces change (very hard for her to do), and her Witch friends help her do that. In “What Witches Want” she is moving closer to her destiny and dream, which she finally achieves in “Call of the Witches.”
And all the Witches in this series (Savannah, Ravena, Noelle, and Mirabella) also find their own unique paths throughout the three novels in this series. That’s why the books are full of real spells, chants, and rituals that work. Yeah, we all know I take the sex in the books for a “test drive” before I write it in one of my novels (lusty grin), but I do the same with the spells too. I want to make sure they work, and most of them come from my personal Book of Shadows.”
The spell Rozonda was talking about was the one Savannah used in “The Witches of Dixie” to energize her handbags. She runs a business making highend purses, and she sews charms on them. When a bag is finished and ready to ship to a store she puts it on her altar and spells it for prosperity and healing, so it will bless the person who carries it. That ritual/spell is in the second chapter (The Tarot Cats). You can read it at http://www.TheWitchesofDixie.blogspot.com. Take a look at it and see if it could be tweaked to work for you the same way it worked for Rozonda (the lady from Spain).
I’m thrilled you are going to treat yourself to the three novels in this series (The Witches of Dixie, What Witches Want, and Call of the Witches) for your birthday!! Big fun! I think they will change your life in a very positive way and help you move closer to the path your heart wants you to take. I say that because this is what my readers have told for as long as these novels have been published. I should also warn you that you will need to read them with a yellow highlighter and stick notes (LOL). That’s something else my readers tell me. They want to be able to go back and find the spells and rituals easily. It’s also why I name the chapters in those novels, so you can find what you are looking for fast.
You can read the first 2-3 chapters of all three of the novels in this series at http://www.LauraStamps.blogspot.com.
Much love to you and thanks for telling me about your passion to change your life to one that makes your heart sing. It is the way I have always lived my life. Not easy at times, but well worth the effort. So congratulations for all you have achieved so far with the changes in your diet, career, and lifestyle. You go, girl!!!
If you want to talk more about this, send me an email at laurastamps@mindspring.com. I’m always happy to help!

Re: It finally came
Awesome, Ja’niece! You will love “The Witches of Dixie”!! However that one isn’t a PNR novel. It’s just a very empowering novel that introduces you to four of the five Witches in the series (Savannah, Maylene, Mirabella, and Ravena). I think you will love all the prosperity and empowering chants, rituals, and spells in it. A really amazing novel. Actually, it’s more like an anthology. It contains the first four novels and novellas in the series that have been published over the last 10 years by other publishers and then combined into one book in 2007 when I sold the series to Trytium Publishing.
I turned the series into a PNR with the second novel in the series “What Witches Want.” Donnie and Wynn appear in this one.
Then Blaine appears in the third one, “Call of the Witches.” And each book gets hotter with the last one (”Call…”) being erotically hot!
I hear there is a long waiting list for these novels on the paperback swap sites. That’s because once people finally get them they tend to keep them and not pass them along. Hopefully, they will end up on your keeper shelf as well. *grin*
Oh, and one other thing. Read “The Witches of Dixie” with a yellow highlighter and sticky notes. All my readers tell me this, because it is the kind of novel you want to refer back to time and time again for all the empowering info in it.
Much love to you and happy reading!!!
xoxo
