Sex Magick…..Here’s the Cover!

After I signed the contract with Forbidden Publications I cast several spells. One was for the perfect cover artist for the erotica novellas in my Rune Witch series. Yeah, I’m really picky about my covers. A good cover can either make or break a book, and this is such a fun series I didn’t want it to be crippled by yucky covers. So a good cover artist was verrrrry important.

And that’s exactly what I got. Thank you, Bast!

Her name is Dawne, and we spent the weekend tweaking the cover for the first novella in the series, Sex Magick. Dawne is awesome! Not only is she a talented artist, but she’s also sweet, positive, and great fun to work with. Plus, she’s a Pagan (kinda Wiccan) and taught me a lot about covers composed from photos.

So here it is….the finished cover for Sex Magick. Wynn has his yummy back to the viewer. His hair is wet, and he’s fresh from the shower (notice the towel wrapped around his narrow hips). YOWZA! Makes you want to lick him all over, doesn’t it? He’s facing the sex magick book and the candles Noelle used as part of that ritual. There is alsoa pentacle on the book, which is one of Wynn’s fav Pagan symbols.

As you can imagine, there are lots of smoking HOT sex scenes in Sex Magick. But I was thrilled with this image because one of them is a shower scene. No kidding. I mean, what is it with me and sex scenes in water? Who knows? But there is at least one water sex scene in every PNR or erotica novel/novella I write, and Sex Magick is no exception. In case you’re wondering, sex magick is a real Pagan ritual. Chaos magicians use it, and if you’ve read What Witches Want you know Wynn is a former chaos magician. Yeah, let me tell you he is looking forward to introducing Noelle to this erotic form of magick. *naughty grin*

As soon as the editor gives me the okay I will create a blog for Sex Magick so you can read the first chapter. I should have a publication date for this novella soon, and when I do you’ll be the first to know. I promise!

Speaking of reviewing, I need to catch up on some reviews for my other blog. I have two other blogs, one for book reviews, and one for opinions and essays on current social topics and such. I haven’t come across anything that I feel very strongly about lately, but I have read some good books.

And I’m pretty sure I’ll need to put my review of your novella up!

So far all the emails and PMs from my readers/fans have been very positive too. They just love that butt shot! Makes you want to reach under the towel and squeeze his “cheeks,” ya know? Yeah, I’m a naughty, naughty girl. But Wynn is so totally yummy, I can’t help it! LOL

I’m looking at the cover thinking, “Towel…just a little lower please.” But as covers go, it’s got great art – the font makes me laugh. Every time I look at it, I go “Ha! Font is Blackadder!”

Which goes to show, way too much time spent on Word.

I’m so glad you liked the cover. Yeah, I know. That towel definitely needs to go. The shower scene takes place in Chapter 2. But in Chapter 3 Wynn sheds the towel. YUMMY! Relief at last!!

I’m glad you liked the font. I don’t have Blackadder on my version of Word (yeah, I live in Word all day too *grin*). The title was a script at first that I had a hard time reading. But I love the girlie script Dawne came up with next. Just perfect!

Ha! You crack me up! Well, Chapter 2 is a smoking hot sex scene in the shower, so he only wears the towel from the time he gets out of the shower until he gets to the bedroom, and then it drops on the floor before he jumps in bed with Noelle (Chapter 3). They talk a little about the sex magick spell they are planning, and then they go at it again like wild rabbits (lusty grin). So he only wears the towel for say….three minutes?

Works for me!!
