Those Hot and Horny Witches of Mine *naughty grin*

Whew!  I finished the fourth chapter and some of the fifth of A Vampire’s Kiss yesterday.  I had planned to make this series another very erotic paranormal romance.  But Dray and Sara have other ideas, so this series may end up as erotica.  Major fun!

Anyway, a new review came out yesterday of my latest paperback novel, Call of the Witches: Book Three of the Witchery Series.  Yeah, those hot and horny Witches of mine are at it again (lusty grin).

Lindsay made my day when she emailed this review to me.  I’m thrilled she liked it (happy dance, happy dance…!).  This review is posted on her book review blog Thoughts on Books.  If you’d like more info on Call of the Witches you can go to the blog just for that novel and read the first three chapters at http://www.CalloftheWitches.blogspot.com

Okay, here’s the review.  Enjoy!

“There are a couple things I would recommend you have handy before you start reading CALL OF THE WITCHES: a cold glass of water and a very willing boy toy.

In her latest installment of her witches trilogy, Laura Stamps delivers a sexy, heat-filled romance novel that is bound to keep you glued to the edge of your seat and eager to turn each page.

Maylene Whitmore has had a string of "bad-news boyfriends" in her life. She constantly seems to get attached to men who seem sweet and wonderful in the beginning but end up tearing her down and walking all over her. Finally fed up with all of this, she makes a vow with her patron Goddess, Artemis, to remain celibate for two years in hopes that she can condition herself to date good men instead of bad men. During these two years, she starts a journey of self empowerment in hopes that she can change her ways.

Three months before her vow is to end, she hears the call to move from Charleston to Columbia, South Carolina. When she arrives in Columbia, she finds herself face to face with Blaine Rutledge, a sexy pagan man who instantly reminds her that she hasn’t had sex in almost two years. She soon realizes what a struggle it’s going to be to keep her paws off of this man while she finishes out her vows.

Maylene can not believe how much she is starting to fall for this sexy man who seems to understand her and her need to finish out her vow. She desperately wants to obey her patron Goddess, but can’t seem to stop her self rubbing up against Blaine like a cat in heat. It’s going to be a long three months.

In a story filled with sweet, sexy men, and hot, wild women this novel is bound to please. Like I said, keep a glass of cold water (or iced tea!) handy, because you’re bound to get hot. You might also want to keep your boy toy handy in case you do have to put the book down to relive someof it’s naughtier passages.

Stamps definitely delivers a bestselling novel with a perfect balance between beautiful descriptions and dialogue. As someone who has grown up in South Carolina, it’s nice to see that she actually puts effort it to accurately describing the culture, people, and beauty (and heat!) of the South.

I highly recommend this book for anyone who loves a good love story, hot sex scenes, and very yummy guys.”

That’s a great review, you must be so chuffed!

I like the title of your new book too, A Vampire’s Kiss -mmm uh huh… I’ve read some erotica and to be honest it doesn’t please me as much as romantic erotica – I need the happy ending, I’ve found. The erotica that I’ve read tends to be more depressing. Or weird. Actually, that reminds me that there’s a book of erotic short stories I’ve had for five or six years that I never added to Goodreads… Plus two books of flat-out porn that I never will! They hide in my closet, isn’t that sad?!

I’m curious: do you have a southern accent?

Thanks! Yeah, “Call of the Witches” came out in October, and all the reviews have been 5 stars so far (on Amazon and on GR), so I have been very pleased. It’s a really HOT novel with a sweet romance, and was great fun to write.

The first chapter of the vampire novel is in the back of “Call…” because even though it is a new series it flows from “Call…” That’s because all 4 of my series have the same community of characters and follow the same timeline, which keeps me from needing serious meds as I juggle 4 series (grin).

I agree. All my PNR and erotica is verrrrry romantic. Gotta have that HEA, ya know? I don’t like porn or nonromantic erotica either. Kinda bores me. But I’m not surprised the porn is hiding in your closet. Ha! I remember when you first started reading romance. It was a shock to your system as well!! LOL

Yes, I have a verrrry intense “Deep South” southern accent. That’s why all my characters talk like that too. Because it’s how we sound down here. Yeah, I am a Southern Belle through and through. ;)
