Woo-hoo….Way to Start My Morning!
That’s what a publisher friend of mine said when I emailed the links of several popular erotica covers to him this week. We’ve been discussing the erotica genre for a few weeks now, and I thought he might like to see what’s out there as far as hot covers.
Seems like the most popular “pose” these days for erotica covers is a certain sexual position. I see it all the time now, so I sent a few examples of covers like Blush by Opal Carew, What Happens in Vegas (an anthology with Lauren Dane), Wicked Ties by Shayla Black, and Skin on Skin (an anthology with Jamie Alden). Skin on Skin was his fav of the bunch, which also happened to be the cover my dentist liked so much last week.
My personal fav is Decadent by ShaylaBlack. I just love the “down stroke” pose on that cover. Yowza!
Speaking of covers, if you’ve ever wondered what my yummy hero Wynn looks like, check out the PNR cover of The Dream-Hunter by Sherrilyn Kenyon. I remember a few months after I created Wynn in What Witches Want, I was in the bookstore, firming up a date for a booksigning. I turned around and saw that novel sitting on the shelf with its cover facing out. My first thought was, “OMGoddess! That’s Wynn.” And it does come very close to how I envision him.
So what are your fav erotica covers? I tend to like the rather naughty ones. But then I’m a wild, wicked woman. And now, because of my last blog post, everyone also knows I’m oversexed (as if you haven’t figured that one out already…LOL). Reminds me of one of my fav Journey songs my husband was singing in the shower last night: “Girl can’t help it, she needs lovvvvve!” And you know what? I wouldn’t want to be any other way. Is life good or what?! *lusty grin*

Me oversexed? Ya think? Ha! Yeah, I hope your hubby gets lots of rest on the plane because he won’t tonight!
It’s so funny I posted yesterday about being batted away. When my hubby got home from work yesterday he batted me away and then changed his mind and came after me. Yowza! That was FUN!
