I’m So HORNY!!!

This is going to be a short post today because my brain is mush. I’ve been doing final edits this week on my latest erotica novella The Harvest Moon. It’s the third book in the Rune Witch series with Wynn and Noelle.

The Uber always says the reason I’m so horny 24/7 is because I spend all my time writing and reading erotica novels. I tell him that’s not true. I would be much worse without them. They actually give my raging hormones some relief. Really.

But this time he’s right. The editing is coming along very well on this novella. It’s a wonderful book. However there is more sex in it than in any of the others in this series. Trust me. It’s SMOKIN’ HOT!

Think about what that means. We’re talking about Wynn, the yummy shapeshifter, who also happens to be an awesome lover. One hot sex scene after another with Wynn. Argh! I’m so horny I can barely stand it. Excuse my French, but I really need to be fucked. And GOOD!

Unfortunately, the Uber was out of town last night for sales meetings in Greenville. He’ll be back today, and I’m telling you right now I won’t be responsible for what happens to the man when he walks through the door. Seriously. *lusty grin*

Okay, back to editing. Whew! Is it hot in here or what?!!

I Can’t Believe He Actually Read It!!

This week I’ve been editing the third novella, The Harvest Moon, in the Rune Witch erotica series with Wynn and Noelle. In Chapter One Wynn finds Noelle in the kitchen baking brownies, and he introduces her to some naughty fun with chocolate icing. Dear Goddess, that man SIZZLES! The editing on that sex scene got so hot yesterday I had to start fanning myself. That didn’t cool me down, so I rolled up the legs on my sweat pants and made them into shorts. If that hadn’t worked I was prepared to start drinking water with lots of ice in it.

My husband says I’m oversexed all the time because I spend my days writing sex scenes for my novels and then read erotica at night. I told him I would be much worse without that stuff. It’s true. Hormones are hormones. The novels I write and read give me much needed “relief.” No kidding. *lusty grin*

Speaking of my Uber-Alpha and chocolate icing, he was not happy with me the other day (Gee, what a surprise *big smile*). Out of the blue he said, “I read what you said about me on your blog.” I thought, “Dear Goddess, he actually read my blog! Oops. I’m in deep doo-doo.” When I asked him about it, he said he read it because I emailed it to him. What? Then I realized he meant my monthly e-newsletter, and he’s on the subscriber list. But that’s a shock too, because he never reads my newsletter. Well, he did this time, especially the blog post about the naughty use we discovered for chocolate icing. He told me he didn’t want me to write these kinds of sexy things about him on my blog anymore. Ha! Fat chance! So I quickly changed the subject, and he forgot all about my blog. Whew!

Although I don’t know what the fuss is about. He takes great pleasure in tormenting his buddies with this kind of stuff all the time. For example, at dinner last night I asked him what his buddies said about the reception we missed on Saturday night. Ya know, that’s the one where we decided to skip it at the last minute and had a smoking hot sex date instead. I know how guys talk, so I asked him if they wanted to know why we didn’t show up. He said, “Oh, yeah.” So I asked him what he said. He replied, “I told them I had a choice between going to the reception or having sex with my wife, and I chose sex.” He said his buddies agreed he made the right choice. Then one guy added, “Hey, you could have come afterwards, cause married sex only takes five minutes.” My Uber looked at that guy and laughed. “Not hardly,” he replied, grinning from ear to ear.

Obviously, this man has never heard of foreplay or multiple orgasms. His poor wife! My husband is always telling these guys to read my blog, and he even asked for some of my business cards to hand out to them with my blog link (See? This is why I don’t take his complaints seriously). Hopefully, he gave my card to this guy. Sounds like he needs to do some blog reading. Hey, maybe he’ll even pick up a few tricks to try out on his wife like my fav naughty use for chocolate icing. *wicked grin*

Sex Magick…..Here’s the Cover!

After I signed the contract with Forbidden Publications I cast several spells. One was for the perfect cover artist for the erotica novellas in my Rune Witch series. Yeah, I’m really picky about my covers. A good cover can either make or break a book, and this is such a fun series I didn’t want it to be crippled by yucky covers. So a good cover artist was verrrrry important.

And that’s exactly what I got. Thank you, Bast!

Her name is Dawne, and we spent the weekend tweaking the cover for the first novella in the series, Sex Magick. Dawne is awesome! Not only is she a talented artist, but she’s also sweet, positive, and great fun to work with. Plus, she’s a Pagan (kinda Wiccan) and taught me a lot about covers composed from photos.

So here it is….the finished cover for Sex Magick. Wynn has his yummy back to the viewer. His hair is wet, and he’s fresh from the shower (notice the towel wrapped around his narrow hips). YOWZA! Makes you want to lick him all over, doesn’t it? He’s facing the sex magick book and the candles Noelle used as part of that ritual. There is alsoa pentacle on the book, which is one of Wynn’s fav Pagan symbols.

As you can imagine, there are lots of smoking HOT sex scenes in Sex Magick. But I was thrilled with this image because one of them is a shower scene. No kidding. I mean, what is it with me and sex scenes in water? Who knows? But there is at least one water sex scene in every PNR or erotica novel/novella I write, and Sex Magick is no exception. In case you’re wondering, sex magick is a real Pagan ritual. Chaos magicians use it, and if you’ve read What Witches Want you know Wynn is a former chaos magician. Yeah, let me tell you he is looking forward to introducing Noelle to this erotic form of magick. *naughty grin*

As soon as the editor gives me the okay I will create a blog for Sex Magick so you can read the first chapter. I should have a publication date for this novella soon, and when I do you’ll be the first to know. I promise!

My Brain Cells, Those Horny Little Critters…

Today, I’m meeting one of my very best friends in Columbia for lunch at the mall. Know what we’re doing? Exchanging Christmas gifts. I kid you not. That gives you an idea of what 2008 has been like for me, right? Whew! It also tells you my best friends are as busy as I am. Really, this is the first chance we’ve had to do this gift thing since we started canceling lunch dates back in December and January. Is my schedule insane, or what?!

I’m also doing a major happy dance today. This week I finished final edits on Bewitched at the Beach, the second novella in my erotica series with Wynn and Noelle, and I’m verrrrry pleased with it. It goes without saying it’s SMOKING HOT! Anyway, now it’s ready to email to my erotica publisher. And….oh, happy day!….yesterday I finished the outline for the third novella in that series, The Harvest Moon. I’ll start writing the first draft of that erotica novella in the next day or so. Big fun!

Speaking of fun, I bought another babydoll this week. You should see it…it’s gorgeous. I was walking past the lingerie department at Dillard’s on my way to Waldenbooks to check stock on my novels. So I thought I would stop for a minute and cruise through their 75% off rack, since they add new stuff every week. Low and behold, I found an Oscar de la Renta babydoll marked down from $60 to $15. And it’s black, the color my husband hinted was his fav in sexy lingerie. Woo-hoo! So I snapped it up, and I’ve been teasing him with it ever since. He’s been in Atlanta for boring meetings the last few days, and every time he calls to complain about it I quickly change the subject to that babydoll, or what I intend to do to his bod when those meetings are over, or what he can do to mine. I wonder if doctors prescribe flirtatious, oversexed women for their men patients as a form of stress relief? They should. Works great for my husband. He goes from cranking to giggling in 60 seconds or less. *naughty smile*

I just spent six weeks writing Bewitched at the Beach, which is about how long it takes me to write a novella that size from start to finish. Now I’m tackling a mountain of paperwork and emails I avoided while I was chin-deep in the last edits on that novella. Let me tell you it has taken me days to work through all that stuff. Argh! I do know one thing. It wouldn’t have taken so long if a large group of my brain cells hadn’t revolted when I finished that novella and skipped out on vacation to the beach. Yup, they deserted me, claiming cruel and unusual punishment (what? *shakes my head*). I’m hoping they’ll return by the time I start writing the first draft of The Harvest Moon. I’m going to need them for sure. But who knows? After all, they are my brain cells, which means they’re horny little critters. And they’re at the beach with all those guys walking around with nothing on but a pair of swim trucks. And some of those guys are lean, trim, and totally yummy. All that firm male skin (I just love a man’s naked chest). Hmm. I may never see those brain cells again, certainly not until winter. And who can blame them, right? Delicious eye-candy. My, oh my, definitely a necessity of life. *wicked grin*

Foolish Heart

Yesterday I finished major edits on Chapter One of Bewitched at the Beach. I’ve had tons of marketing and book business stuff to take care of this week, so it took seven days to edit that chapter, when I can usually edit a chapter in two days. That means I’ve been in the hot tub with Wynn for seven days. Count them. Seven days editing a sizzling-hot, erotic sex scene with Wynn, one of those yummy guys with long black hair, a gorgeous bod, and incredibly skillful hands, lips, tongue, and dangly parts. Yowza! No wonder I’ve been horny all week!

Plus, guess what? That’s right. The Street Talk CD arrived yesterday in the mail, Steve Perry’s solo album with my husband’s fav song, Foolish Heart. Not only does it sound fantastic but there is also a photo album inside, featuring lots of pics of Steve Perry from the 80s when he made that album. Yup, another one of those yummy guys with long black hair.

Anyway, you know what that means. Now my boy-toy husband is singing “Foolish Heart” to me all the time. And very sweetly, I might add. Yeah, it’s been a regular sex-fest at my house ever since. Dear Goddess, am I a lucky woman or what?!! *wicked smile*

Erotic Nirvana

Yesterday, I stopped by Waldenbooks at Columbiana Center and finalized my next two booksignings. The first will be on Saturday, September 6, from 1:00 – 4:00 pm, like I mentioned in my blog post yesterday. The next booksigning is also on a Saturday, October 4, same time, same place. If I’m lucky, Book Three in my Witchery trilogy, Call of the Witches, will be available at the booksigning in September. I’ve listed both signings on my profile at Goodreads for those who would like to add them to their events list. G.L. Giles, the Gothy vampire novelist from Charleston, will be signing with me again. And you know what that means? We’re going to have a blast! Another girl-party for sure. Big fun!

I tackled most of the mountain of emails that came in from the booksigning last Saturday, so I hope to get back to Bewitched at the Beach today and edit more of Chapter One. Yeah, I’m hopping back in the hot tub with Wynn, and looking forward to it (naughtygrin). Also, I received an email from my editor yesterday. Looks like he’s ready to take the plunge into Call of the Witches. No pun intended, although what is it with me and water sex scenes these days? *shakes my head*

Speaking of sex, I ran into my husband when I was leaving to run my errands yesterday morning. He saw the Journey CD in my hand, and the smile on his face was priceless. I told him I had blogged about it, and his smile grew even larger, knowing what he had set me up for. Stinker! And he was right. Steve Perry’s voice is to me what chocolate is to a chocoholic. Chocoholics never allow themselves to eat chocolate all day long, right? That kind of nirvana is hard to take physically. Well, I have never allowed myself to listen to an entire album of Journey songs. Seriously. I know better and only listen to 2-3 Journey songs at a time. But yesterday morning I listened to 9 songs in a row before I finished all my errands, and I gotta tell you Steve Perry strummed my G-spot into a state of erotic nirvana. I’m amazed I survived it. And I plan to do it every morning for the rest of the summer. Dear Goddess, I’m sooooooo easy!!!

Wow, what a great booksigning I had yesterday at Waldenbooks! Major fun for sure. Jen Pressley and Julie Anderson, two of my fav Goodreads friends, came from Georgia and upstate South Carolina so I could sign their novels. Julie brought her two teenage sons and her yummy husband (yeah, Jen caught me ogling him before we knew who he was…what a hoot!). All three of her men waited patiently for almost an hour while we laughed and talked about yummy guys and sex and…..well, mostly that (wicked smile). I met lots of new buyers of my books, some who had heard about the booksigning (like Melissa), and some who hadn’t. I saw lots of local friends (like Larry and Lindsay). Plus, I sold a bunch of books, even though I spent most of my time laughing and talking. A girl-party for sure, just like I promised. Even my boy-toy husband came near the end. He had planned to come earlier, but his golf match that morning had been pushed back, so he didn’t know if he would finish in time to come by. But he did. Bless Bast and the Fey! They were definitely working overtime for me yesterday.

It was also the first time I had done a booksigning with popular vampire novelist G.L. Giles from Charleston, SC. We’re both Witches, and we worked so well together yesterday that we’ve decided to do more booksignings together. The next one will be at that same Waldenbooks at Columbiana Center on Saturday, September 6, from 1:00 – 4:00 pm. So if you missed the booksigning yesterday, come see me in September. We’ll have a blast. I guarantee it!

Before I left my office for the booksigning I finished major edits on part of Chapter One of Bewitched at the Beach. Yeah, I’m back in the hot tub with Wynn, and loving every minute of it (gee, what a surprise *naughty grin*). Jen and Julie had asked what novel I am currently reading, now that I’ve finished the two erotica novels by Shayla Black. It’s an erotic paranormal romance I picked up at B&N last week by an author I was not familiar with. Of course I couldn’t remember the author’s name or the title when they asked. Here it is. It’s called Dreamwalker by Kathleen Dante. Hot sex, but not a lot of dialogue, so I’m enjoying it kinda, but the lack of dialogue is keeping me from being emotionally involved with the characters. A little different for me.

Still, that doesn’t mean I’m not hopelessly in lust with the hero, Damon, an incubus. He could double for Wynn in a heartbeat. No kidding. Gorgeous bod, great lover, long black hair. Totally yummy! Oh, yeah, I’m in lust alright….one of my fav places to be! *naughty smile*

Sexual Persuasion

I slept like a rock last night. I usually receive 100-150 emails every day from the readers and fans of my novels around the world, as well as book business people and Pagan friends. It takes about 5 hours every day to answer all of them. But don’t get me wrong. I love it! If you know me, you know how chatty I am. And the readers who contact me through email usually become good friends after a while. Can’t get any better than that. *grin*

But yesterday, maybe because of the coming holiday weekend, I only had 40 emails to answer, and I finished before lunch. That meant I had the entire afternoon to work on my latest book. Big fun! So I finished writing the last two chapters of my latest erotica novella yesterday. Bewitched at the Beach is now finished and in first draft. It will probably take about three weeks to completely edit it, but the major work is done.

So, how did Bewitched at the Beach end? Remember I mentioned in a previous blog post that Wynn had a “plan” for getting Noelle to warm up to the idea of marrying him? Let’s just say he got her in a compromising position where “satisfaction” could be delayed until she agreed to consider his marriage proposal. Did it work? You bet. Once you’ve got a yummy guy like Wynn wrapped around your body all you’re thinking is COMPLETION!!….if you know what I mean. Sexual persuasion. Yeah, it works every time. *wicked smile*

Sex on the Beach…Oh, let me count the ways! naughty grin

Good news. Yancey, the manager at Waldenbooks, called yesterday to let me know all the books he ordered for my booksigning on Saturday have come in. Yay! Looks like that crisis is over. Bet you didn’t know there was one, did you? Oh, yeah. The stock for my booksigning was ordered back in May, but the order must have gotten lost because the books never came in. So he reordered last week, hoping we could get a bunch rushed in on time. A tricky thing, because it usually takes two weeks for an order that large to come in, and we no longer had two weeks before the signing. What did I do? The same thing I always do when faced with a stressful situation. I released the entire thing to the faeries, knowing they would make sure whatever happened would be for my highest good. And thanks to the faeries it looks like I’ll have plenty of books for an awesome signing. Am I a blessed woman or what? Yeah, I am. But I take no credit for it. Nope, all the credit belongs to my Patron Goddess, Bast, and the faeries. Seriously.

Two-thirds of my new erotica novella Bewitched at the Beach is now in first draft. Wynn and Noelle had big fun dancing at a bar on the beach last night. Did any of the women at that bar hit on Wynn? Yup, one tried, but he blew her off quickly. And Noelle snickered throughout. She knows how much Wynn hates that kind of thing, and it cracks her up to see a barracuda make this mistake with him. Afterwards, during a sexy slow-dance, did Wynn ask Noelle to marry him…again? Yes. Did she refuse…again? Yes. Seems she’s crazy in love with him, but totally commitment-phobic at this point in her life. Looks like he needs a change in strategy. And you can bet he already has one in mind. A really sexy one, too. You would expect no less from Wynn, right? What a yummy guy!

In the chapter I’m writing today Noelle is performing a ritual on the beach for her Patron Goddess Isis, something she’s always wanted to do. And Wynn is happy to observe from the comfort of a beach chair. But Noelle is so energized and frisky after her magick that she has other plans for Wynn and his beach chair (much to his surprise and delight). Ah, sex on the beach. Let me count the ways! *wicked grin*

Sex in the Ocean with Wynn…oh, yeah!

Believe it or not, I’m not a water person. No kidding. Give me the mountains over the beach or the lake any day. Yet so many of the sex scenes in my novels are water scenes. What’s up with that? Who knows. Yesterday was a good example. I finished writing Chapter 2 of my latest erotica novella, Bewitched at the Beach, which is a sex scene with Wynn in the ocean.

Ever had sex in the ocean? I have (raises my hand high *grin*). Just imagine being in the ocean with water up to your waist, the beach crowded with people, your legs wrapped around the hips of a sexy guy like Wynn. And all that rhythmic wave action pulsing around you. Mmm…yummy! Even though no one can tell what you’re doing, I guess you’d have to be a bit of an exhibitionist to try it (raises my hand high). Just make sure your guy has a deep pocket in his swim trunks. You’re going to need a safe place to stash your bikini bottoms for a while. Lose them in the ocean during that “activity,” and you’re in major trouble. Sex in the ocean is kinda like having sex in a swimming pool without the crowds of people and all that delicious wave action. Yeah, I have a swimming pool scene in Call of the Witches. What is it with me and water sex scenes? *shakes my head*

I finished reading another novel (The Beast in Him) last night in Shelley Laurenston’s shapeshifter series. In a few minutes I’ll post my review on Goodreads and the Romance Novels Community here at LJ. It was a cute PNR novel. Now I’m reading Opal Carew’s latest erotica novel, Blush. It just came out on Tuesday, and I was thrilled to get my hands on it. She is one of my fav romantic erotica novelists. This one is about the big O and a Kama Sutra/Tantra master. Need I say more? *naughty smile*

Today, I’m writing Chapter 3 in Bewitched at the Beach. After Wynn and Noelle have fun in the ocean they rest up at their beach house, kinda (wicked grin), and then go out on the town for a night of dancing. Wynn will ask Noelle to marry him….again. She will turn him down….again. What’s with that girl?! If a gorgeous guy like Wynn asked me to marry him I would run off with him into the sunset as fast as my little bunny slippers could take me to have wild rabbit sex for the rest of my life. Duh! But not Noelle. She’s one stubborn, independent woman (not to mention commitment-challenged). Good thing Wynn is a cat shapeshifter. And you know how persistent cats can be when it comes to stalking. Yeah, he loves the chase.
