The booksigning on Saturday at Waldenbooks was fantastic! I met lots of wild and wonderful people, and had a blast. As usual. *wicked grin*

In fact, I almost sold out of all three of the "Witchery Series" novels. Good thing the manager anticipated this two weeks ago and ordered more stock, which should be in any day now.

Actually, I was kinda late getting to the bookstore this time. A first for me. Really. My booksignings always start at 1:00, and I usually arrive at 12:30 so I’ll have plenty of time to set up.

But this time I arrived afew minutes after 1:00. Oops!

"Sorry I’m late," I apologize when I dash into the store and dump my backpack on the counter behind the cash registers. "But I kinda overdosed on cyber-sex this morning, and time got away from me."

"No problem," the manager replies, shrugging like it’s no big deal. Have I mentioned lately how much I love that store and the new manager, Mimi? She’s awesome and so is her staff.

"No, really," I protest, "I’ve been a bad girl, and I deserve to be spanked." A naughty grin curls my lips, and I waggle my eyebrows. "Again."

"TMI!" the assistant manager shouts, as everyone giggles. "I’m leaving!"

An hour later he mentioned the spanking and wanted to know if that was my kink.

"Nah," I reply. "I’m not into rough sex or BDSM." I shrug. "Basically, I’m just a frisky fuck."

He laughs and gets that same this-woman-needs-serious-meds look on his face like Wes gets.

"But I am an exhibitionist," I continue, grinning wickedly.

"Oh, no," he moans. Yeah, Wes says the same thing.

"Wanna see my panties?" I ask. Before he can turn away I reach into my low-riding jeans and pull up the black lace edge of the leopard-print bikini panties I’m wearing that day. "See?"

He laughs like crazy and give me another one of those looks.

"Trashy stuff, I know." I waggle my eyebrows again. "But what can I say? Once a slut, always a slut."

He scurried away after that.

Toward the end of the booksigning, he came back to check on me and see if I needed anything. "You’re having too much fun selling books," he says. "The Fun Police should arrest you. They should put you in solitary confinement and make you watch something boring like a film on flower pollination."

"Wait a minute," I reply. "Isn’t that like fertilization? Kinda like flower-fucking?"

He laughs like crazy. "Enough!" he exclaims. "You are impossible." He shakes his head. "Okay. Fine. A film on celibacy then."

"Eeeeek!" I scream. "Anything but that!!"

Those Hot and Horny Witches of Mine naughty grin

Whew! I finished the fourth chapter and some of the fifth of A Vampire’s Kiss yesterday. I had planned to make this series another very erotic paranormal romance. But Dray and Sara have other ideas, so this series may end up as erotica. Major fun!

Anyway, a new review came out yesterday of my latest paperback novel, Call of the Witches: Book Three of the Witchery Series. Yeah, those hot and horny Witches of mine are at it again (lusty grin).

I Survived the Insanity of Last Week. Kinda.

We had an absolute blast at my booksigning at Waldenbooks on Saturday! Although I must say it was a bizarre day, starting with the crowd at the mall, which was verrrrry sparse for the day after Black Friday. Jen came down from the upstate to the signing, and she mentioned almost everyone walking around in the mall had a scowl on their faces. Cracked me up! Well, it was raining, and lots of people will be totally stressed until after January 1. Even Yancey gave up and left early to watch the football game, proclaiming the day a waste as far as sales.

But not for me! I sold lots books anyway, and almost sold out of Call of the Witches. Plus, I met some awesome people, like Marsha, a Wiccan Witch who had moved to Columbia from Spartanburg. As well as Mark, a really nice, yummy guy. And it’s always a joy to see Jen. She is the best!

I’m mailing out my naughty holiday card today, so get ready! Because of that, I took a bunch of those cards to the booksigning. Yeah, it was a hit. The women giggled. And the men just grinned and told me how wicked I am (gee, who doesn’t know that? *lusty grin*).

Guess what? I also received a few propositions from yummy guys. No kidding. Men always flirt with me at my booksignings, and you know what a tease I am (okay, I love it *LOL). But they never ask me out. Well, this time they did. And it took me a while to figure out why. Like I said, it was pouring rain on Saturday. Because of that, I had extra stuff to pack for the booksigning, including my umbrella, and in the process I forgot to wear my rings. I realized that as I was driving away from the house, because my hands suddenly felt naked. Ladies, those of you who wear rings all the time know what I mean. I wear two sterling silver faery rings I bought at my fav online Pagan shop, The Magickal Cat (http://www.themagickalcat.com). The third ring I wear is my wedding ring. It’s a gold band with vines and flowers cut out of it, encrusted with diamonds. The jewelry store had to special-order it from Europe. It took two months for it to come in, but it was totally worth the wait. I know. I just love it!

Anyway, with no wedding ring I looked single for the first time. Big fun! Add to that my lusty aura and high energy level (which means I act and look younger). So it’s no wonder I appeared "available" this time and got a few date offers from yummy guys. Hey, nice to know the package still attracts, ya know? *lusty grin*

But I have to say I’m thrilled it’s Monday. That means I actually survived the insanity of last week. Kinda. I did wake up Sunday morning, feeling yuck, fighting off the Uber’s cold. And I’m still fighting it, drinking lots of the Chinese tea my acupuncture doctor gives me to get rid of a cold fast. And I am improving. Slowly.

So I’m trying to be a good girl today. Nah, not really. No one would believe that anyway, right?! Oh, well…. ROFL

Booksigning Today!

Okay, everyone! This is my last booksigning of the year. Amazing, I know (grin). Anyway, I’ll be signing the novels in my Witchery Series trilogy from 1:00pm – 4:00pm today at Waldenbooks, which is inside the mall, two stores down from Dillard’s Department store.

If you’ve been reading this series, you know it’s a paranormal romance novel series that becomes more erotic with each novel. Yowza! And I’ll have plenty of copies of the latest one in the trilogy, Call of the Witches, which is smokin’ HOT! *naughty grin*

As usual we’ll be having a sexy girl party. So if you’re traveling in Columbia for the holiday weekend or need to do some Christmas shopping, come on out to Waldenbooks this afternoon. I’d love to see you!

If You’ve Ever Wondered What Blaine Looks Like…

Okay, after much searching on the web, Cheryl and I finally found a pic of what Blaine looks like, the yummy hero in my latest erotic paranormal romance novel, Call of the Witches: Book Three of the Witchery Series. I swear that sweet, peaceful look on his face is sooooo Blaine, isn’t it? Not to mention the long brown hair and sexy bod (even though Blaine is a bit leaner). Still this guy comes realllllly close to the ultra-sexy Blaine in that novel.

But don’t ask me who he is in real life. I’m totally clueless. I found this pic on the Paul J. Lucas site, which features yummy pics of men with long hair (yes, one of Cheryl’s awesome finds!). Paul usually tells you who these yummy guys are. But a few are labeled as unknown, and that was the case with this pic. No big deal. He’s Blaine to me now. *lusty grin*

“I LOVE this book. I have to say that by far, CALL OF THE WITCHES is my favorite book in the Witchery Series. There is so much to love about this book, the positivity, the empowering messages, the passion! and the love stories! This book just rocked my socks off. I hated putting it down for even a few minutes at a time and at the end all I could think was "Noooooo! I want more!!!"

Maylene Whitmire, a Wiccan Witch, moves to Columbia, SC from Charleston. She has been a magnet for loser boyfriends for quite awhile. Each of the men in her past seemed different but the relationships all ended badly. Her Patron Goddess, Artemis, suggests a two-year long celibacy vow so that she can empower herself and begin attracting the type of men she deserves. When Maylene arrives in Columbia, she has a little over 2 months until the end of her vow.

Blaine Rutledge is a super nice and hot Wiccan Green Witch that Maylene meets at her neighbor’s house. Sparks sizzle between them but Maylene’s vow is not complete. She must wait out the end of her vow before she can begin dating so that she will be empowered and will attract the right type of man. Maylene and Blaine become friends and spend time together. This is quite difficult for both of them because their sex desire for one another just keeps building.

There is lots and lots of passion in this book!! The love scenes are smoking hot…you’ll need a glass of ice water to pour on yourself to cool down! And then maybe a cold shower to follow up Unless of course, you are able to act on the passions it ignites in you…then by all means take a break and then come back for more

We see several of the characters that have already been introduced in the series, and we get a glimpse of a couple of the characters that will appear in the Manigault Vampires series.

I love the way Laura writes her characters. They all seem like people you know or have known. Her dialogue is always fun, and her writing is always poetic. If you are a fan of paranormal romance and don’t mind lots of smokin’ hot sex in your books, this is definitely one to try out! I LOVE it!! Her books are awesome. They have such positive and empowering messages. Definitely an enjoyable read, and it has me waiting for the next book " (Melissa, SC)

You know what this means, right? Yeah, my Goodreads friend, Cheryl, has done it again. If You’ve Ever Wondered What Noelle Looks Like….

Cheryl is at it again! Seriously, I couldn’t ask for a better "casting director" for the characters in my novels, ya know? When Cheryl said she thought Noelle looked like Joan Jett, I had one of those V-8 moments. Of course she does! Noelle, my spunky, ex-Goth Witch looks very much like Joan Jett. Why didn’t I think of that? Good thing I have Cheryl to do this kind of thinking for me. Yeah, Joan Jett is perfect casting for Noelle. Thanks, Cheryl!

Speaking of that, she just finished Call of the Witches yesterday and posted her review on Goodreads. I’ll post it here next week. I have to say I can’t wait to see who she casts for Maylene and Blaine. Big fun!

I stopped by Waldenbooks yesterday to make sure they had enough stock for my two upcoming booksignings. I also needed to find an erotica novel to buy, since Borders sends email coupons out to cardholders every Tuesday (love that!!). Yancey, the manager, was on the phone when I was ready to check out, so I thought I’d cruise their nonfiction sex book section while I waited.

Guess what?! I found Supersex by Tracey Cox. Had to have it! I don’t think I’ve mentioned this before, but the sex books by Tracey Cox have some of the best, most erotic covers on the market IMO. And much to my delight I also discovered the entire book is full of erotic photos illustrating the text. Cool! I’ve only seen her books online at Goodreads and Amazon, so I was delighted to discover one at my local Waldenbooks. And on sale no less. Yay! As Yancey said later, I am a verrrrrry lucky woman. Yup, I agree. *big smile*

You can imagine how much fun I had diving into this book last night. I’m only on page 55, but I’ve already learned:

1.) How to touch a naked man (all the erogenous zones on his entire body…YUMMY!)

2.) How to tell if a guy will be great in bed just by looking at him

3.) Why the older woman/younger boy toy mix works (of course it does….stamina!)

4.) How to be a better kisser

5.) How to tell if a man will cheat on you just by looking at him

Fascinating stuff. I was like a kid in a candy store last night. No kidding. Okay, let me run so I can do more reading. Have I mentioned how awesome the sex photos are in this book? YOWZA! *naughty grin*

If You’ve Ever Wondered What Donnie Looks Like….

My dear friend, Cheryl, at Goodreads has done it again. She has an amazing talent for finding real people who look like the characters in my novels. That’s because as she reads my novels she thinks about who would play these characters in a movie. In fact Cheryl is the one who found the pic of the guy who looks like Wynn. Yeah, I think like a novelist. And Cheryl thinks like a casting director. LOL

Several months ago she found an awesome site for me of gorgeous men with long hair. Totally yummy! Of course my fav was this pic of Sebastian Bach, the Canadian heavy metal singer, best known as the ex-frontman for the band, Skid Row. If you didn’t already know this about me you do now: I have a weakness for yummy blondes with long hair. I always have. So you can imagine the minute I saw this pic of Bach I was practically orgasmic. *lusty smile*

This week Cheryl is reading Call of the Witches, and her mind is at work again, casting real people to play my characters in a movie. Yesterday, she mentioned she thought Donnie looks like Bach. Eureka! She’s right. Dear Goddess, no wonder I fell madly in love with Donnie when I created him in What Witches Want. It took months for me to get over him after I finished that novel. Seriously. I didn’t want to let him go. And can you blame me?!

Of course now, thanks to Cheryl, I’ve fallen totally in love with Donnie again because of this Bach pic. In fact, I’ve already printed out a mini-poster of this yummy guy and hung it over my desk next to the poster of Wynn.

As if that wasn’t enough, next year I’m scheduled to write a big paperback erotica novel about Donnie and Savannah. It usually takes six months to write a novel that size. Just think. Six months of erotic sex with Donnie. YOWZA! I’ll be completely delusional by the time I finish that one. Do I have a great life or what?!! *naughty grin*

Tomorrow I’ll show you who Noelle looks like. That’s right. Cheryl has done it again. And, as usual, her casting is perfect!

My publisher has been dealing with Amazon ever since they did this, but they say it will take a few weeks to fix their mistake. Saturday morning, before I jumped in the shower to get ready for the booksigning, I okayed the last proof for this third and final novel in The Witchery Series trilogy. I’m so pleased with how this novel turned out! It is gorgeous. Truly a thing of beauty inside and out, thanks to my talented publisher/editor, Dave. Call of the Witches will hit bookstores (local and online) in a little over two weeks. So get ready. It’ll be here before you know it!!

Now let’s talk about my hair. Seriously. Some of you have asked about my hair in the pic I posted on Monday ("We Had a BLAST!!!"). So here are the answers to those questions.

1.) No, I have not colored my hair and gone blonde. Don’t worry. I still have brown hair with a touch of gray just like the author pic I use in my books and in all the posts on this blog. Here’s why my hair looks blonde in that pic. Columbiana Mall is a very pretty, light, white mall with tons of huge skylights. It was a bright sunny day when that pic was taken, so the sun was pouring through the entrance to the bookstore and kinda bleached out the hair color of all three of us in that pic. 2.) Yes, I do have bangs. I did a wild and crazy thing shortly after that author pic was taken. I decided to give myself bangs. And I like them, so I’m keeping them for now. I’ll get another author pic taken in 2009 when the first novel in my new PNR vampires series comes out, A Vampire’s Kiss: Book One of the Manigault Vampires. That pic will have bangs (unless I do something wild and crazy with my hair before then…ya never know with me, right? LOL). But my hair is still just as long as it is in my current author pic. I only trim my hair every two months so it won’t get stuck in my elbows (really, I’m not kidding). I mean, it’s kinda embarrassing to pull your own hair, ya know? *big smile*

I also wanted to announce I’ll be doing a blog chat on this blog next week. I’m still working out the details, so I’ll let you know more on Friday. However, everyone who reads this blog will be able to participate. Looks like the tweaking I did on my LJ account worked, and everyone who reads this blog can comment on my posts now, whether you are a member of LJ or not. Yay!
