That’s right! “Being Naughty: The Life & Times of an Erotica Novelist” is Book One of the Memoir Series. And it just went live in the Kindle Store last night for $1.99. WOOT!

Dontcha love this cover? Damn, Alex is the most brilliant cover designer ever. And, yes, I modeled in my trashy lingerie for all of the covers in this series. “Still Naughty” (Book Two) and “Always Naughty” (Book Three) will be coming out in the Kindle Store and on my site in pdf in the next week or so. Can’t wait to show you those covers too. They ROCK!!

Okay, here’s what “Being Naughty” is about:

For those of you who noticed, yes, I skipped my May newsletter. What can I say? Last month was like two months long. A fab month, but soooooo much happened. All of it good, but very hectic. And I was just too slammed to write a newsletter, so I thought I’d catch everyone up in this blog post.

The first of May my agent and I parted ways on friendly terms. And on May 2, I sent out a “Special Message” to all of you, explaining what had happened and why. I cannot thank you enough for your kind and generous response. I really felt your love at one of the lowest points of my career, emotionally and financially. I thank all of you from the bottom of my heart for the way you rallied around me. You are truly AMAZING!

Then on May 13, “A Vampire’s Kiss” went on sale in the Kindle Store. Yay! I’ve wanted to be in Kindle forever, so I’m thrilled about this. Sales have been strong and steady, so I’m a happy slut for sure.

Awesome news, isn’t it? And it’s about time, too!

First, I want to thank all of you who’ve stayed with me faithfully through the last year of my insane career. Why? Because it’s been 16 verrrrrrry long months since my last erotic romance, Call of the Witches, was published.

Trust me. I never in a million years planned for that to happen. But Forbidden Publications (who bought my Rune Witch Series) was supposed to publish that ebook novella trilogy in the Spring/Summer of 2009. And Trytium Publishing was set to publish A Vampire’s Kiss in the fall of 2009.

Instead Forbidden went out of business in March, shocking many of its authors, including me. That meant I had to stop working on the vamp novel to find a new publisher for the The Rune Witch Series.

I did the coolest thing on Monday. Okay, first let me say I’m a verrrrrrry organized person. I mean, how could I write and publish over 45 books in 23 years without being organized? Duh. Plus, organization makes me kinda orgasmic.

Really.

Anyway, when I woke up on Monday morning I was suddenly fed up with the book issue on my new site. Yeah, I was not happy that my book info and links are still at my old books site at Blogger.

Wow, can you believe it’s the first day of the last month of 2009? I think I’m in shock. Horrors! Where did this year go? LOL

Of course, that also means it’s the holidays, and Christmas is fast approaching. Yikes! I guess it won’t come as a surprise to those of you who’ve read my novels that I’ve been filling orders for my books since October. Lots of people like to buy them this time of year for themselves or for gifts. And they love to buy signed copies from me. Must be those slutty personalizations I include in each signed copy. *wicked grin*

This has been such a busy year. Whew!

Let’s see. In March, I finished the first draft of “A Vampire’s Kiss: Book One of the Manigault Vampires.” But the next day I discovered the ebook publisher of my “The Rune Witch Series” had gone out of business. Eek! That series had been scheduled to come out in the spring. But now it was out of print before it even went into print.

Eek!

Today’s the day my agent wants me to make the big announcement that you can now find me ONLY at Facebook, Twitter (http://twitter.com/naughtypussycat), and here at my new website.

This is gonna be a realllllly short blog post today. That’s because I have no brain cells left whatsoever. Seriously. I used them all up yesterday, laughing like crazy while I wrote the October issue of my naughty e-newsletter.

That’s right. The awesome website Alex has been creating for me and we’ve been working so diligently on is just about finished (http://www.LauraStamps.com). The good news is my blog has a new home and is moving there as of today. That means I will no longer be posting on my LiveJournal blog or in my blog groups at EONS, PaganSpace, or Goodreads. If you wanna read new blog posts you’ll have to come to my totally decadent new website. Yeah, you’re gonna love it!

I know. I didn’t post on this blog yesterday. That’s because I dashed off to my monthly acupuncture appointment yesterday morning and didn’t have time to write a blog post.
