I Need Major Sex Relief….Seriously!
What an exhausting week this has been. Whew! Maybe that’s why Wes took me to Staples last night after dinner and bought a real office chair for me to use at my computer desk in my office. As you know, I’ve always bought cheap lawn chairs at Wal-Mart for this. But they only last a year or so, and when the last two broke they made my bod hurt. Yikes! So I’ve finally decided a busy erotica novelist (who works 11-12 hour days on computer) should have a good chair for this, ya know? LOL
I had planned to buy the chair myself, but Wes wouldn’t hear of it. The man is such a sweetheart! So he insisted on buying the chair for me as a gift. Well, my birthday is coming up in less than a month. Of course, I’m not letting him off with just ONE gift. But it’s a good start. *wicked grin*
Got lots of work done on A Vampire’s Kiss yesterday. Looks like I only have three more chapters to write, and the first draft will be finished. Then it’s on to 4-5 months of intense editing. Whew! This novel has been quite an experience, because Dray and Sara have refused to follow an outline (35 chapters and 300 pages). Definitely a first for me. That means this book is totally intuitive and completely character-driven, not to mention smokin’ hot. Really. Dray and Sara are one verrrrrry erotic couple, and this novel is saturated with sizzling sex scenes. You’ll love it! *lusty grin*
Speaking of sex, I lost one of my cyber-sex guys this week. He decided to call it quits, and I applaud his decision. In fact, I’m really proud of him for doing it. Cyber-sex isn’t for everyone. You can’t get too intense or addictive with it. If you can’t look at it as fun, sexy play then you need to get out. And it takes a smart man to walk away when that happens. So I’m very happy with his decision. Yeah, he’s definitely a good man and a smart man, and I wish him all the best.
My Goodreads groups are still in flux, but things are looking better today. Kinda. We agreed to close the singles group, which was an excellent decision. And I’ve been doing lots of tweaking with my Purvettes group. So I’m very pleased with how it is coming along.
Last but not least, I have a booksigning tomorrow at Waldenbooks at Columbiana Center mall from 1:00 – 4:00pm. The weather should be glorious (they’re predicting a high of 80 degrees). Hard to believe, since five days ago it was snowing all around Columbia. But that’s South Carolina. I’ll have more details about the booksigning in tomorrow’s post.
Hope you have a great weekend! I’ve got a sex date with Wes on Sunday afternoon, and I’m planning to increase his dosage of Steel-libido. Really. I want to see if he can go longer this time.
