Oops! Looks Like I’m Delusional After All
Another awesome day of editing yesterday. Bewitched at the Beach is coming along very nicely, although it’s turning out to be the longest novella in this series so far, coming in at 12,000 words rather than 10,000. If I don’t have any major interruptions I should finish it completely by the end of next week. Then I’ll start writing the third novella in this erotica series with Wynn and Noelle. Big fun!
I always kid around and say I am delusional because I’m a novelist, which means I spend all day in a fantasy world of my own creation. But I realized yesterday morning that might not be too far from the truth. I was driving down to the post office to pick up my mail for the day and to ship book orders to readers who have ordered signed/personalize copies of my novels. I had the Journey CD cranked up really loud in my car (of course), and I was thinking about some of my readers I know personally. Then I started thinking about some of the characters in my novels. But I wasn’t plotting new chapters or books. I was just thinking about these characters and their lives, as if they were as real as the real people I had been thinking about a few minutes earlier. Oops!
Well, my characters aren’t real people, but I realized I kinda think about them that way sometimes. Oops! Maybe that’s why my readers say they love my characters. They say these characters are such neat people they wish they were real. And they wish they could have friends like my characters.
Ha! Maybe that’s because the novelist who created them is delusional and thinks they really are real people sometimes. Of course, what a treat it would be to see yummy guys like Wynn and Donnie at the post office or the mall one day. Dear Goddess, I’d probably turn around and follow them like a puppy, since I have a tendency to do that with exceptional eye candy anyway. Oops! My mind is wandering…sorry. In the meantime the fact that I’m obviously delusional will just have to remain our little secret, okay?
BTW, my boy-toy husband brought home a Wendy’s Frosty last night. Oh, yeah, sex in the city for sure. *naughty grin*
xoxo

You delusional, haha
Aren’t we all just a bit delusional…especially when it comes to those yummy guys we read about? I mean seriously all these people who have read Twilight are going on and on about Edward Cullen (and that’s a teen series so not too much in the way of sex from what I hear).
But hey, if you have to be delusional, at least the people in your world are good ones to be around
