Sometimes life is just too complicated for me. When that happens I have a tendency to get caught up in the insanity and forget who I am. Does that ever happen to you?
It did to me last night. This has been a good year so far, but also a verrrry stressful one. First, there was the editor mess in January with one of my erotica ebooks, and now all three novellas in that series are stalled in publishing limbo. Who knows what’s up with that? Not me.
Then in February one of the Goodreads groups I co-mod went psycho. We tried to get it back on track, but in doing so some people left the group, and others got really negative. I thought we’d moved past all that, but it reared its stressful head again yesterday. Not what I needed, considering the censoring of my blog at PaganSpace two weeks ago and the nasty mess with the Amazon forums this week. Ugh!
By the time I collapsed in the Sleep-Number bed with the kitties last night my brain cells were numb.
Thank goodness, I’m a simple slut! When crazy people turn my life into a psychotic stressfest, it’s time to step back and remember who I am. Otherwise, I’ll get swept away in their drama.
To rescue myself from this stew of confusion I need to concentrate on what’s important in my simple life. Hmm. Let’s see.
