The Perfect Day for Sex
I’m not kidding. Saturday couldn’t have been more perfect. Really.
My workday started on computer at 7:00am. But my reader/fan emails were very light that day and the groups I mod at Goodreads weren’t very active, so I finished by 8:30am.
Hmm. That left a few hours to work on Chapter 20 of A Vampire’s Kiss before I had to jump in the shower and get ready for my booksigning that afternoon. What a nice surprise! The only problem was Chapter 20 is a sex scene, and my brain wasn’t in the sex-scene-writing mode yet.
Hmm. Then I realized it was still early, and my fav cyber-sex guy would probably be online. But before I could email him and see if he wanted to play for a while, he emailed me. Cool! So we had major fun cyber-fucking each other for about 45 minutes before he had to quit and make breakfast for his family (he looooooves to cook, and he’s very good at it, too). By then my brain cells were sex-primed, and I buzzed through the first four pages of that sex scene before I had to stop writing and get ready for my booksigning.
All I can say is the day couldn’t have been more perfect for a booksigning. It’s been freezing here for weeks, but Saturday was warm (high 60s), the sky was bright blue, and the sun was intense. That meant I could wear my fav silky black t-shirt to the booksigning. Yay!
When I got to Waldenbooks, I met Mimi, the new manager. Let’s just say the woman is AWESOME, and I’m really looking forward to her plans for that store. Much to my delight I discovered the Waldenbooks she used to manage boasted an erotica section three times larger. How about that? Mimi LOVES sex and erotica. YES! Is she my kinda girl or what? Like I said, just perfect!
So it’s no surprise my booksigning on Saturday turned out to be my best yet at that store. Amanda and Corinne were working that afternoon and made it major fun for me. I sold more books than ever, got more subscriptions to my naughty newsletter than ever, and gave away tons of brochures that began netting sales of all of my Witchery Series novels on Amazon and B&N.com that night. Love it!
I also met some really cool people like Chris Smith, who bought all three novels in the Witchery trilogy. He’s the amazing Pagan guy I quoted on this blog a few days ago. Chris found me when he was doing a search for South Carolina Witches on Yahoo, and we have been emailing ever since. What can I say? The man is a fascinating resource for Pagan history, and one of the nicest guys I’ve ever met. Truly. His appearance at my booksigning was definitely one of the highlights of my day. No doubt about it.
I also met so many wonderfully wicked women I lost count. We talked sex, sex, and more sex! Gee, what a surprise, right? *LOL* But don’t worry. If you didn’t get a chance to come this time, no problem. My next booksigning at Waldenbooks will be on March 7. Yeah, we’ll be having more naughty fun for sure, so come join us if you can!
Like I said, it was the perfect day, and since it was a day in MY life it was saturated with S*E*X. Dontcha love it?! *naughty grin*
Speaking of sex, I had a yummy sex date with Wes on Sunday. YOWZA! More about that in tomorrow’s blog post. Stay tuned….

Your book signing
YEA! I was going to ask you how it all went but I think you answered my questions!! Great news about Mimi–I’m sure you two will become buddies, especially if she expands the erotica section of the store! Lucky you!:)

Thanks. Yeah, I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day for a booksigning.
And Mimi has her work cut out for her. That store hasn’t had a manager that was organized in years. She’s going to have major fun redesigning the entire store. Just in the three hours I was there she cleared away all the junk piled up behind the counter (which spans abut 20 feet). I haven’t seen that area clear in two years! LOL
