What Kind of Lover Are You?
I was talking to one of my blogging friends yesterday, and we were discussing our sex lives. She’s a natural sub, and we were emailing about fun sub stuff, sex toys, techniques, etc.
I’m not a sub or a dom, but it made me think about the different kinds of lovers. So which kind am I? Okay, I’ll admit it. I’m an aggressive, selfish lover with a wide exhibitionist streak. Seriously. I think it’s because I’m a high level Empath, which means I’m a healer. I have healing in my hands. They won’t heal an illness, but they will take away pain anywhere in a person’s body. Ten minutes of exposure to my hands will give a person two pain-free days. Because I spend all day giving away healing to others in my spoken and written words and in my physical touch, that makes me a very selfish lover. Yup, it’s all about me. Really. I think that’s one of the many reasons why I have multi Os.
My husband is an Uber-Apha, which makes him a cranky guy most of the time and a total ego-maniac. Just goes with the Uber territory. But he is completely different when it comes to sex. He is not only a skillful lover but also generous and totally selfless. Whatever I want he gives it to me again and again, because my pleasure is the most important thing to him.
Now that doesn’t mean he isn’t getting his fair share from me. He is inspades. But it’s not because I want to please him. It’s because I’m doing what I always do….pleasing myself. Yeah, being selfish. For example, we all know how much I love that dangly part on men. So I’m all over him in that respect, which he loves. Really, I can’t get enough of his dangly part. Then there’s my exhibitionist streak, which gives him a secret thrill. Especially when I surprise him with daring outrageous stuff (which I am prone to do almost every day *wicked grin*). So he receives lots of pleasure from me, simply because of my selfish addiction to my own sexual pleasure. Ha! Who knew a selfish, exhibitionist lover would be such a turn-on to an Uber-Alpha? I certainly didn’t. I was just being my flirty, selfish self. But it’s worked for over 30 years now.

I’m a tease mostly. I can be selfish, but at the same time I’m also selfless.
And as for dom/sub we switch off. Sometimes I’ll be the aggressive one and that totally turns him on. And sometimes I’ll tell him that he needs to do whatever he wants to do.
It’s strange.

I would say that both hubby and I are giving lovers. We’re both really good about making sure the others needs are met. Our styles varies up pretty well and I am pretty much willing to try a lot of different things. Sometimes we’re both a bit selfish too. Not really all that into toys, we have one I think that I got as joke for him but can’t remember the last time we used it. I pretty much usually let him decide how things play out, fast or slow or hard or soft. Unless I am really wanting things a certain way. Whatever it is, it’s been working for 7 years now and hopefully will continue. I think for us variety is key! It’s never exactly the same!
