Who is the Best Kisser?

My Goodreads friend, Tre, from Indonesia, said something the other day in an email that made me think. She’s been told cigarette smokers are better kissers than nonsmokers. Hmm. I honestly don’t know if that’s true or not. I’ve been a health-food nut all my life, which means I’ve never smoked a cigarette. Because of that I didn’t date smokers, so I’ve never kissed one.

However, I did grow up in the late 60s/early 70s, which means I dated a lot of pot smokers because just about everyone smoked pot back in the hippie days. But the lip action is different, so I don’t think that counts.

How about you? Did you date or marry a cigarette smoker? Are they better kissers than nonsmokers? Time to spill. My inquiring mind wants to know!

Now I’m off to do more research on the web for all my novel series. Today, I’m gathering info on one of my fav subjects….oral sex. Love it! I’m looking into all the different techniques for pleasuring a man’s dangly parts orally. Have I mentioned how much I love oral sex? Oh, I did. Okay. Of course, anything I discover on the web will have to be “tested” before I add this info to the sex scenes in my novels (wicked smile). That’s a given. I mean, many of the readers of my novels and novellas add the fun stuff from my sex scenes to their own playtime activities. And I’d hate to lead anyone astray. Yeah, do I have a great job or what?! *naughty grin*

Well, I have never kissed a smoker. But I do know this, my hubby has never smoked a cigarette ever and he’s an awesome kisser!!! So, I am thinking cigarette smoking doesn’t have much to do with kissing. IMHO, You’re either a great kisser or you stink.

Yeah, I agree. I’ve been through some yuck kissers in my time (you wouldn’t think learning how to be a good kisser would be THAT hard, would you???). But my Uber is not a smoker, and his kissing skills totally light my fire. Yup, he is an awesome kisser and lover. So I agree with you completely.

I just didn’t know about smokers, because I’ve never had any lip-smacking experience with one. It’ll be interesting to see what everyone else says.

Ok, thanks to your post I just realized that the only people I’ve ever kissed were smokers!

I can’t recall ever coming across a bad kisser. I mean Barret is by far the best kisser/lover I’ve come across and he’s a smoker. The others weren’t as good as Barret, but they weren’t bad either.

I don’t think smoking has anything to do with it. But then again, I don’t have any real comparison!

I can understand about the smokers, being it’s all about good puckering skills and lip action, etc.

But bowlers and oral sex??? You’re going to have to explain this one to me. What does a person’s mouth (oral sex) have to do with a bowling ball??? Or is this one of those BDSM things? *wicked grin*

Trust me cigarette smokers do not better kissers make. At least not from a taste point of view. I don’t smoke either. Who wants to taste second cigarettes, or smell cigarette ash? Yum! Or rather not…

I’d have to say, ecccch, no. One of my college boyfriends smoked, and while he was a really nice guy and I really enjoyed our time together, he was a pretty terrible kisser. I also made him brush his teeth before he kissed me.

When I think about good kissing, the old boyfriend that comes to mind was a non-smoker. We actually used to play what we called “the kissing game,” wherein you basically did nothing BUT kiss, and see how long you could make it before hormones took over. Pretty much just zenning on that other person’s mouth… may not sound like much, but it was pretty awesome. You get aware of little things like the noses sliding together, stuff like that. Whoops! Sorry to ramble there!

My husband used to smoke, and he’s an excellent kisser, but I don’t really know that they’re related in any way.

Smoke makes me choke. Like literally. Light up near me, and suddenly, my brain goes, “Don’t breathe! Don’t! Breathe!” Even the smell of it makes me go all haywire.

So never mind kissing a person who smokes, I can’t seem to breathe near one. (As in “Need to breathe…yet can’t” not “Oh my, you’re so…*Gasps*”)

You crack me up!!! You’ll notice in my meme post I have never smoked a cigarette. That’s because my dad was a chain-smoker. Nothing like that to give you an aversion to smoking. Plus, it made my sinuses very sensitive to smoke. Thus, I never dated a smoker, much less kissed one. Sounds like you’re “allergic” to smokers too. *grin*
