Why My Pants Are Always Falling Off

My husband and I are going to a wedding in Charleston in September.  The son of one of his best friends from college is getting married.  We went to a wedding two years ago, and I thought I could make that outfit work for this wedding as well.  But no way.  I tried on the pants last week, and they slid so far down my hips they almost fell off.  Bummer.  I mean, I knew I’d lost more weight since then and they are a size larger than I wear now, but I had hoped they wouldn’t be so loose they’d fall off.  Oh, well…

So last Friday I went to Belk to buy another pair of dressy black pants in my current size for this wedding.  Who knew it was tax-free weekend?  Yikes!  That’s what I get for not having kids or reading the newspaper or watching TV.  On the plus side, there were sales galore, and I found a great pair of pants at a great price, so I’m a happy woman.  Even though it was like enteringthe Twilight Zone with all the crazy crowds of shoppers.

Let me backup for a minute and explain about the weight thing.  If you haven’t know me for several years then you don’t know I’ve lost around 50 pounds in the last five years.  That’s because I went back to being a vegetarian (I used to be a vegetarian in high school).  So it was a lifestyle change and not a diet thing that did it.  Losing all the weight was just a nice bonus.  That means even though I ate all the time and never tried to lose weight, I still dropped from a size 18 to a size 12.  In fact these days my size 12s get a little loose, but I have no desire to lose more weight, since I’m tall (5′9″).  To fix that I just eat more nuts and nut butters, and my pants fit again.

Anyway, I made this change because ever since I entered perimenopause at 38 my hormones have gone insane and were beating the daylights out of me.  I ended up with estrogen dominance, which gave me around 40 fibroids on the inside and the outside my uterus, making me look about five months pregnant.  No fun.  And I looked like that for 8 years.  Yeah, it was a real downer for my sex life too, because they were very uncomfortable, not to mention the excessive bleeding and pain.

But being a Witch, I wanted to attack the root of the problem through natural means, and I did find an alternative medicine cure for them after 8 years of searching.  So it was totally worth it.  In fact that cure is in my novel The Witches of Dixie.  I gave Ravena fibroids and then outlined all the natural and alternative medicine things I did to get rid of them.  That way my readers with fibroids can get rid of them, too, and keep their uteruses.

Yeah, I love my flat stomach, and shortly after I got rid of the fibroids I went into menopause.  Because I have continued my natural regime, menopause has been fantastic….no hot flashes, no night sweats, no endometriosis, no insomnia….none of that nasty stuff.  Of course because of the weight loss thing my pants are always falling off, but for an oversexed woman that’s a plus, right?  *naughty grin*

BTW, Melissa, yes, the Realm worked again!  Do yourself a favor and dash out to the perfume kiosk at Columbiana Mall and buy yourself a bottle.  My husband couldn’t keep his hands off me all weekend.  That’s right….he chased me for a change.  Imagine that?  Even when he said he was too tired and wasn’t interested.  Suddenly an hour later he was VERY interested.  I think he even surprised himself.  Yeah, it was a sex-fest at my house all weekend.  Love Realm…..that stuff WORKS!!

Okay…give me details on the Realm…does it come in unscented? What kind of price are we looking at and where can I find it?

    Good job on the research!!

My poor hubby has been feeling playful all weekend long and unfortunately I have not been able to respond because I have been under the weather! Hoping this week will be better!

And really, having your pants falling off, is that really a problem? Easy access baby!!!

Congrats on the weight loss, that’s awesome!

Melissa, you are reading my mind! I almost put that in there about “easy access,” because you know how much I love that (wicked grin). I mean I didn’t even wear the thong with the babydoll lingerie, ya know? Yeah, LOVE easy access!

Okay, “Realm for Women” doesn’t come in unscented. I got it at the perfume kiosk by the pretzel place as you make the turn and head down to Dillard’s (kinda across from where the Body Shop used to be). It is $49.95 for 1.7 oz spray bottle (about 4″ x 2″ size bottle). But as you have been reading it is worth every penny.

Okay, and here is the crazy thing. Men don’t seem to smell it. No kidding. They only smell the sex pheromones in it. Women do smell the perfume part, but not the sex pheromones. The lady at the kiosk was really nice. She may just let you spray some on and see what you think before you buy it. She did that for me. But, hey, as long as it didn’t smell like dog poop (which it doesn’t) I was going to buy it, because I wanted to test sex pheromones.

Hope you feel better! When I didn’t hear much from you on LJ this weekend I figured you weren’t feeling so good.

Glad to hear things are going really well. I’m losing weight too, but that’s a diet thing. I’ve been trying to eat better.

Hmmm…I may have to go and get a sample spray first and test it on Hubby. He’s so sensitive to scents. A couple of times, I have gotten scents at Bath & Body Works and had to take them back after just a tiny whiff of the scent and just a whiff of the scent on me. So, yep, when I am feeling better I will head over and see if I can get a sample spray to try it out first!

Still feeling a bit icky but I have hope for better days in the near future (*crosses fingers*)

Yep…easy access is my hubby’s favorite feature! He loves the new halter top dresses and tops that I purchased this year because he can untie and enjoy ;)
