You did THAT with Chocolate Icing?!

When the ladies at Goodreads see the title of this post I know what they’ll say: “Oh, no, I can’t believe she’s going to talk about THAT on her blog!”  Oh, yes, I am (wicked grin).  And it’s not my fault either.  I was responding to a comment from Melissa on LJ yesterday, when I was reminded of the reason why I always keep a container of chocolate icing handy.  The ladies at Goodreads know all about this, so I thought you might like to join in our naughty fun!

Everyone knows I have a thing for writing sex scenes in my novels and novellas involving water (hot tubs, the ocean, the swimming pool, showers, bathtubs, you name it).  Who knows why?  I certainly don’t.  But I also enjoy writing sex scenes involving food, and there’s no mystery about that.

Which brings me to the subject of my husband.  The man has a sweet tooth the size of the state of Georgia.  No kidding.  On the other hand I don’t eat sugar.  But leave it to me to turn his sugar addiction to my advantage, right?  One evening he brought home a sub sandwich from the grocery store for his dinner.  He gave the bag to me to put in the refrigerator while he went upstairs to hop in the shower, since he was grungy from playing golf all day.  When I looked in the bag I also found a big piece of chocolate cake.  Hmm.  Usually he brings home a brownie or something like that.  But the more I looked at that piece of cake, specifically the rich icing slathered all over it, the more I began to see the naughty possibilities for this particular dessert.  I stuck the sub in the refrigerator and dashed upstairs to the shower with the chocolate cake.  Let’s just say after his shower he ate (or rather licked and suckled) his dessert that night before, instead of after dinner.  Was the cake tasty?  I have no idea.  Like I said, I don’t eat sugar.  But he certainly looked like he was enjoying it.  And so did I. *wicked smile*

I will say chocolate icing works much better than whipped cream for naughty activities.  It melts slower, which makes it more fun to lick and suckle it off warm skin.  But then again, whipped cream has a special place in my heart, too (you knew it would, right? *horny smile*).  I often think that’s when my husband fell in love with me.  Really.  He is five years older than I am, and he was working at The College of Charleston while I was still a student there.  We started dating, and from what I understand I was the first girl to suggest he bring along a can of whipped cream on our fourth date.  Yup, he was a goner after that.

See?  I’ve always had a thing for sex and food.  Even before I knew I would grow up to become a PNR and erotica novelist.  But then Steve Perry says it best in one of my fav Journey songs: “Girl can’t help it, she needs loooooove!”  Yup, that would be me.  And it’s amazing how often that playtime activity includes food or water.  Which reminds me.  I’ve also discovered a wonderfully wicked use for a milkshake.  But I’ll leave that tasty tip for a future post!  *lusty grin*

Tried chocolate syrup once and that was sticky and you had to be careful or your sheets were covered! But it was lots of fun. Might have to consider chocolate frosting! Hubby would never eat cake the same way again :)

Wow..I guess that was just the ..*wait for it*…*wait for it..*icing on the cake?*

    Hmm… chocolate icing, hunh?

I have a can of whipped cream that came with sprinkles, LOL! Hubby and I really enjoy that one. Oh, and ice cubes are a lot of fun as well *cheeky grin*. Someone had suggested Halls (throat lozenges) but we can’t use them; hubby’s allergic to mint (and that includes menthol). But chocolate icing, hunh? Gonna have to try that one.

Eew! You’re right…Syrup sounds too messy. Kinda like whipped cream. Yeah, you’ll love it…icing really stays put, but still smears easily (very important). After that I went out and bought a container of icing, so I would never have to go without (no pun intended *grin*).

After you try it, Melissa, I want a full report. Let me warn you though. Icing sticks realllllly well. That means it takes a LOT of licking to get it all off. Love it! *naughty grin*

You crack me up! Since cooking is your thing, “playtime activities” with icing should be a piece of cake for you, right? Sorry couldn’t resist!! *wicked grin*

You’ll love it! Be sure to get the buttery kind of frosting. Even more fun.

And wait until I tell you about milkshakes in a future post. Now there is trick to that one, but it’s awesome once you know how to do it. Feels sooooooooo good!! *naughty grin*

Hehe! We’ll probably give the whipped cream a try when he gets back and the icing too (but not at the same time!) Probably would’ve tried it before he leaves tomorrow, but tomorrow morning is going to be kind of crazy getting him all together. So, it will be a nice surprise when he returns. I’ll let you know!

    Hi, Ja’niece (big wave!)–

I feel like you have all but vanished from the naughty chats we have at Goodreads. Wonderful to hear from you again!!

Yeah, the Starbucks sounds good too. I’ll be posting my milkshake “tip” as soon as I can figure out how to make it sound less x-rated than it really is. Don’t want anyone on LJ to freak on me (big smile). But soon….

Much love to you!! I miss you on Goodreads!

    Naughty chats???? I’ve been keeping my eye peeled checking my paranormal group daily digests. You must have them secretly cloaked under BD/DS topics. {Grins}

  12. laura_stamps8 Says:

No, not in the groups. Unfortunately, I haven’t had much time lately to be very active in the groups. But we have long and awesome discussions in the reviews of novels, mostly erotica, some PNR. I thought you used to particpate more in those postings. But haven’t seen you much in the last few months. Anyway, it is wonderful to see you here at my blog!!

Check your homepage, because I know we have many of the same friends. That’s where you’ll find the reviews coming up and the comments following them. I miss your input!

I’ve been around, I’ve just haven’t had anything to talk about. I liked the PNR group when it was just a 100 or so members, but now that it’s reaching close to 500 it’s a real chore to wade through the RSS feeds.

I wonder if it would be possible to set up a private goodreads group with you, me, auntie, and a few others. That way we could keep the membership to a manageable level. I have dial-up and need to stay off the phone during the day incase I get a call from the employment agencies, otherwise I could probably mange the group. How about you or auntie? If it were possible to set up a private group and send out invites.

    Ja’niece

  14. laura_stamps8 Says:

Ja’niece, that is the coolest idea. I don’t have time to manage it, I’m always so slammed with book deadlines and such. But I will ask Auntee about it. She would be perfect for it. I have about 50 top friends who are like you and I, so a small private group like that would be great fun. I’ve got a PM from her waiting to be answered so I will pass the idea long to her and let you know what she says. But I love it…thanks for the suggestion!
