David Bowie, Here I come. Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes…!
For those of you who noticed, yes, I skipped my May newsletter. What can I say? Last month was like two months long. A fab month, but soooooo much happened. All of it good, but very hectic. And I was just too slammed to write a newsletter, so I thought I’d catch everyone up in this blog post.
The first of May my agent and I parted ways on friendly terms. And on May 2, I sent out a “Special Message” to all of you, explaining what had happened and why. I cannot thank you enough for your kind and generous response. I really felt your love at one of the lowest points of my career, emotionally and financially. I thank all of you from the bottom of my heart for the way you rallied around me. You are truly AMAZING!
Then on May 13, “A Vampire’s Kiss” went on sale in the Kindle Store (http://www.amazon.com/s?_encoding=UTF8&search-alias=digital-text&field-author=Laura%20Stamps). Yay! I’ve wanted to be in Kindle forever, so I’m thrilled about this. Sales have been strong and steady, so I’m a happy slut for sure. 
Ready for more good news? On May 21, the new publisher and I parted ways on friendly terms. Yay! That means my contract with this pub was terminated, and once again I now own all the publishing rights to my new books and series. *happy dance, happy dance*
Yeah, I’m agent-less. But I have three publishers I adore. And that’s all this slut needs. Seriously. Trytium Publishing will continue to publish “The Witchery Series” in paperback. Haddad’s Fine Arts Inc., will continue to publish my art prints and posters. And Kittyfeather Press will publish my ebooks. Who needs more publishers and agents? Not me.

As you can imagine, Alex and I have been working our asses off ever since the 21st, getting 9 new ebooks ready to go up on my vamp site and Kindle in the next 30 days. In fact, the first issue of “A Vampire’s Kiss” went up on Smashwords this week. Eventually, all my ebooks will be available there and in the iPad/Apple Bookstore. The formatting for Smashwords is a little different than Kindle, so we have to tweak more, and it takes a bit longer. Anyway, keep an eye on my profile page at Smashwords. Okay, drum roll…..! I am happy to announce my long-awaited “The Rune Witch Series” will be coming out on my vamp site in pdf and in the Kindle Store in the next two weeks. Yay! I spent last week editing it and getting it into ebook format.
“The Witchery Series” is also going into ebook in the next two weeks. It is now edited in ebook format and in final production. Yay!
Next on my list are the three books in my “Memoir Series,” which are made up of posts from this naughty blog. How cool is that? No longer will you have to sit at your computer and try to read through two years of my X-rated blog posts. Soon they’ll be in ebook and you can read them on your Kindle or cell phone or in pdf.

Also, now that I have all my books back and Kittyfeather Pres is publishing them in ebook I’ve turned the vamp site (http://www.avampskiss.blogspot.com ) into the main site for my books. Now when you go to the homepage you’ll see a list of all my books and series in order with publication dates (if they haven’t already been published). You’ll also find the order form on the homepage as well as on the “How to Order” page in the button bar at the top of the site.
Each series has its own button at the top of the page in the button bar. There you’ll find more about each series and each book in the series, as well as an excerpt from one of the books and comments from readers about that series.

Even more good news. Because I once again own the publishing rights to my 9 new books, and because they’re all coming out in ebook in the next 30 days, I can post some excerpts. Finally! Like Chapter 1 of “Sex Magick,” which is the first novella in “The Rune Witch Series” trilogy. That’s right. It’s up on “The Rune Witch Series” page, so dash over there when you get a chance and check it out. This is the long-awaited erotica series with Wynn and Noelle that I finished almost two years ago and has been languishing at two different publishers ever since. Well, now it’s back in my hot little hands, and Kittyfeather Press is publishing it. Yeah, this series is smokin’ HAWT! You’ll love it.
I also added new lingerie pics to the “Interviews” page and “The Memoir Series” page. I know. I have soooo much fun with that vamp site. Not my fault. I’ve always loved Blogger. It ROCKS! So check out all this fab new stuff when you get a chance.
Speaking of new books, the 4th installment of “A Vampire’s Kiss” came out on May 28. If you’re on my email list and received my email notification about it you know I made two changes. First, each installment is now two chapters in length rather than three. That’s because with so many new books to publish I’m totally slammed. I’m still editing the last part of this fab vampire novel, so I need more lead time since I’m gonna be spending most of June getting all these new books out and in the various ebook channels. Second, because of this, the price of each installment has dropped from $1.99 to 99 cents.
Dontcha love me?! I know. I’m adorable. Now if I could just convince Wes of that… LMAO!

GF you work waaaaay to hard and not enough playing…So tell me about how this Smashwords thing works…is there a place to get updates on your page there? Do I have to join to get updates or are there no updates sent out and you just have to keep visiting? I's confused but then again it doesnt take much to do that these days.

I know. But because of the agent/publisher mess this year it couldn't be helped. Hopefully all the books will be published in ebook by July and I can take a short break.
In the ebook world there are two giant ebook stores: the Kindle Store and Smashwords. Kindle gets your books in Kindle ebook format. Smashwords gets them into all the other e-reader device formats like Nook, iPad, etc. I don't know enough about Smashwords to know if you can join or get updates. i think it's just like a store, and you will have to check back periodically. However you have a Kindle so you can do all your shopping for my books at the Kindle store, right?

I dont get all my ebooks from kindle/amazon there are several places that have the kindle format such as 'My Bookstore and More' http://www.mybookstoreandmore.com which I have just gotten a couple from.I dont mind going to other places to get ebooks I just get lazy and like having updates of new releases sent to me or I forget to go look look for them.Amazon is the easiest place to look first if they dont have what I want I usually google the publisher,then My Bookstore.Of late I have noticed that Amazon wont have a listing for an ebok along with the paper book which means you need to search the kindle store.I have also gone to Jasmine Jade Enterprises and Between your Sheets ,Books on Board and some author site will have a format that will work with kindle.
