Okay, I Was Trying to be a Good Girl, but….. *naughty grin*
Believe it or not, I do have a little bit of restraint. Not a lot (so don’t panic), but just a tiny bit. And I used it yesterday in my blog post about the booksigning on Saturday.Here’s what happened. When G.L. and I do a booksigning we don’t sign at the same table. Our novel series aren’t in the same genres, so we have different groups of fans. My readers and fans are erotica/paranormal romance people. Hers are all kinds of people, but mostly those into vampires and dark urban fantasy. On the other hand, Pagans enjoy both of our series.
What works best for us is a table right by the entrance for me and my books, since I’m the "outgoing" one (to put it mildly *LOL*). That way I can qualify everyone who walks by in the mall or comes into the bookstore. We position a table across from me about six feet into the bookstore for G.L. and her books. When we have a lull in the action we go over and visit each other.
Around 3:00pm I finished talking with one of my readers and walked over to G.L.’s table to see what she and Jen were chatting about. Earlier Jen and I had been talking about a thread I started last week at the Purvettes group on sex toys (the same one I posted on this blog). When I walked over to G.L.’s table I discovered they were having their own discussion about sex toys. And they were leering at the handcarved staffs and wands made by G.L.’s husband, Scott, which they always bring to her booksignings (thus, the pic at the top of this blog post). Okay, it doesn’t take a brain surgeon to figure out what they were thinking, right? Yeah. Baaaaaaaad girls.
G.L. points to a slim wand, looks up at me with a wicked glimmer in her eye, and asks, "What do you think about this one for….ya know?" I smile at G.L. and Jen, shake my head, and reply," Girls, girls, waaaaaaaaay too small." Then I point to a big thick staff and say, "This is more like it." They start giggling. Then G.L. points to a small pointed one, lifts her eyebrows, and asks, "Well, what about this one?" I look at the sharp point on the end of that one and reply, "Nah. Unless you’re into BDSM." More giggling from G.L. and Jen. The discussion kinda went UP-hill from there, if you know what I mean. *lusty grin*
See? Did I show restraint or what? I didn’t even mention this wicked incident in my blog post yesterday. Why? Because Scott was being really nice to me at this booksigning, smiling at me and everything. It’s not that he hates me. It’s just that he’s a Scorpio and not a "people person" (this is what G.L. tells me…and she should know, she’s a Scorpio too). So I didn’t want to mess that up by announcing to the entire blog world yesterday that we had been measuring his beautiful wands and staffs for dildo action, ya know?
But G.L. emailed me yesterday and told me it was okay. She even said my blog readers need not fear splinters from these things because they’re all shellacked (is this woman bad, or what?!). I guarantee she was giggling when she typed that email. Then she goes and sends me a bunch of pics to choose from. Hey, what am I supposed to do in the face of such wicked temptation? Succumb as always. Of course. And love every minute of it. Of course. I mean,you would expect no less from me right?
So now you know all about our dildo/wand discussion on Saturday. See? I wasn’t kidding when I said we have a wild and wicked time at my booksignings. It’s true.
And, G.L., if Scott growls at me when we do our next booksigning on October 4, it’s entirely your fault. You know you can’t waggle a "red cloth" in front of me with SEX TOYS written all over it and not expect me to jump at it. Plus, give me pics to post on my blog. But you were counting on that, weren’t you? Baaaaaaad girl! *naughty smile*

It’s true, isn’t it? This is why I told G.L. she shouldn’t tempt me like this. Yeesh! My “inner dirty girl” needs no excuse to come out and play (as we all know). And when you actually give her an excuse AND pics? Hey, that’s a formula for some wiiiiiiiicked fun!!
