Sexually Censored…Again sigh

Well, I hadn’t planned to talk about this, but it looks like I need to. Yeah, I’ve been sexually censored. Again. *shakes my head in amazement*

These daily blog posts appear in a number of places, including my blog at LiveJournal, PaganSpace, my Goodreads page, and my Goodreads sex/erotica group "The Goodreads Purvettes." Two weeks ago my blog at PaganSpace was censored. There had been some complaints about my lusty blog, and management was afraid they would lose advertisers because of my sexy posts. Even though no one under 18 is allowed to join, I was told I could no longer post about sex on my blog. I also wasn’t allowed to use the word "sex" in the titles of my posts. Yeah, like that’s gonna happen (lusty grin). So I stopped posting on that blog, and now my posts go out to my PaganSpace friends in daily PMs. I have to say the management at PaganSpace felt genuinely bad about this, and they were easy to work with when it came to finding a solution we both could live with.

Now it’s happened again. I swear if I wasn’t such a simple slut this could give me a complex or something (LOL). Last night I was censored on the Sex and Erotica forums at Amazon. They said someone had complained that my posts were profane (not), and I was a spammer (not). Both untrue. Nevertheless, they removed all my posts from both forums. Hundreds of posts. Unfortunately, the Sex forum was dead when I discovered it and started posting on it last year. Now it’s alive and very active. Well, up until I was banned last night. I think what happened is someone was jealous of how popular I was over there and decided to slam me. Not that I’ve ever slammed anyone over there, even the real spammers. That’s just not my style.

Erotica novelists have to deal with censorship like this from time to time. Successful women writers are also targets, and some men get a thrill out of trying to knock us down a notch or two. All of this has happened to me in my long writing career.

But twice in two weeks is a bit much. Even for me. It’s just a shame a woman in this country still can’t come out publicly and say she loves sex, ya know? Oh, well. I’m a bit bummed about it today. And I’m going to miss all the horny, pervy guys at the Sex forum at Amazon. But I will recover, and tomorrow I’ll be back to my slutty self again. I promise.

Sorry to see this, as I felt that you were a witty and upbeat (that word again) participant there, and you’re already missed, as a number have commented about your absence. But don’t let it get you down, you’ll be back there. After all, you’re a published author with books and a blog there.

Yes, there are posts that are more explicit than mine. But I was the only sex-loving-woman who was also a Witch. The more I think about it, the more I think the religious-right guy who gave me a hard time about that may have been one of my complainers. Who knows? I’m not pointing any fingers. I’m just going with Plan B for now. LOL

Censorship

After discovering you on Eons I joined LiveJournal just to read the erotic ways you use the words pussy,cock and fuck. It seems there are people who join groups with sex in the group name and are offended when the words fuck, pussy, cock or dick appears in post on these sites.

But guess what? I was censored again yesterday. This time on PaganSpace…again. So I spent the morning forming a private group there for my slutty blog (like the group I have at EONS). Hopefully, that will take care of all those people I offend who are not into sex as much as I am. LOL
