We Had a BLAST!!!

…….at my booksigning on Saturday at Waldenbooks. No kidding! Lots of people came by (Melissa, Lindsay, Jen, etc.). G.L. Giles and I had major fun, and she looked as pretty as ever. In fact, this is a pic G.L.’s husband, Scott, took of the three of us. Starting from the left of the pic, there I am in one of my pink girly shirts. In the middle is Jen Pressley, an awesome Goodreads friend and fan of my Witchery series novels, who drove down from Williamston, SC, for the booksigning. And, of course, the gorgeous vampire novelist, G.L. Giles from Charleston, SC, is standing on the other side of Jen.

I sold a bunch of books (even more than at the last booksigning in July), and met lots of new fans and readers. Jen and I spotted four (count them….four!!!) yummy guys in the mall with hair as long as or longer than mine. One had the most beautiful glossy black hair that came down to his waist. Nope, couldn’t keep our eyes off that one. Soooooo Yama! Jen cracked me up when she marveled at my ability to carry on an intelligent conversation with one of my readers, while I ogled a good-looking guy at the same time. What can I say? I’m a naughty woman of many talents (wicked grin).

My Uber-Alpha husband arrived toward the end (as promised), and Melissa, Lindsay, and Jen finally got to meet him. Ladies, was he totally Uber or what???! And, yes, Melissa did catch me giving him lusty looks. Hey, not my fault! The man looked incredibly sexy, and you know I have absolutely no resistance to that. *lusty grin*

Of course he did give me the famous eat-dog-poop-and-die look when Melissa told him how much she and her husband enjoy this blog. I swear at one time I had to hold my cheeks because my face hurt so much from laughing (yup, if the Uber isn’t driving me senseless with lust he’s cracking me up). In fact I learned Melissa’s husband refers to me now as "Porn Laura," and wants to know every evening when he comes home from work what wild and wicked thing I said on this blog that day. Love that guy! Ahh, it’s so nice to be appreciated by the men in my life.

On Sunday, I kicked back and relaxed. Kinda. Then my Uber and I had one of our smoking hot sex dates that afternoon. I surprised him with the see-through, fishnet babydoll lingerie I bought last week. Thongs always come with these things, but I never wear them. Like I told Jen at the booksigning, wearing lingerie is hard enough for me, since I’d rather be naked. So when it comes to babydolls, thongs are definitely out, and naked is in. Yeah, my Uber was very pleased with the new fishnet babydoll. As a matter of fact, his dangly part snapped to attention faster than ever, while he set a new speed record, stripping it off me. Like two seconds or something. No taking his time "unwrapping the package" for my Uber. LOL

Ahh, it’s so nice to be appreciated by the men in my life. Wait. I already said that, didn’t I? Okay, how about this? It certainly pays to be naughty. And pays, and pays, and…..well, ya know. *lusty grin*

Hey, I wanted to ask you something. When my Uber came up and had been talking with us for about 5 minutes I thought I heard you say something to yourself like you were in shock because he acts just like Barret. Did I hear you right? I meant to ask then, but I was laughing so hard at all the Uber-ness coming from mine I couldn’t catch my breath.

If so, you have to bring Barret to my next booksigning on 10-4. Gotta meet this guy!!!

I remember thinking that, I didn’t realize I had said it out loud! But yes, Barret is just like that.

He can act social and nice and charming in front of people, being funny and what not, but I know that he is NOT a people person. ha ha! Plus I get those growling noises as well.

It was just too funny! It really was like looking at Barret, just a little older!!

Laura, the book signing was so much fun. I had a blast. Yeah, Yama guy just did it for me. Sorry Melissa and Lindsay missed seeing him. I was totally in awe of you carrying on your conversation with that woman and still keeping an eye on the hottie. lol Of course I was keeping my eye on him too. ; -)

It was great getting to catch up with G.L. again and seeing Melissa & Lindsay.

If you ever come this side of the pond, tell your publishers to let you come to London. There’s some fantastic bookshops there. There’s one it could be Borders, that has about three – four floors, a Starbucks and stays open till eleven at night. I was on holiday last year in London. I spent a rainy day very happily there. They even have comfy chairs to let you sit down and read. How cool is that? If you’re a bookaholic like yours truly, it’s a slice of paradise it really is.
