What is Goodreads?
Hope you had a good weekend! Mine was verrrry productive. I worked like a wild woman and completed about half the tasks on my to-do list, things I had to let fall behind while I was trying to meet my last book deadline for the year. Several of these tasks had to do with Goodreads (http://www.Goodreads.com).
I mention Goodreads from time to time on this blog, and it has occurred to me you may not know what that is. Goodreads is an awesome social networking site for booklovers. Kinda like MySpace, only it’s just for book-addicts. I joined in June of 2007 when it small and six months old. Now there are over a million members, and it’s HUGE. Love it!
Goodreads is like Librarything and Shelfari, only much, much better IMO. That’s because it offers something they don’t….endless ways to chat with other members through comments on reviews, private messages (your own inbox email thingy), hundreds of groups, and much more.
It makes it so easy to network with the fans/readers of my novels as well as other erotica-addicts that you can find me there all day every day, chatting like crazy. So if you’d like to meet other people who read the same kinds of books you do, check out Goodreads and join. You’ll love it as much as I do.
In fact I need to dash over there right now and see what everyone’s been saying. Check you later…..!!

Totally agree with you about Goodreads – I tried LibraryThing and Shelfari and both were lonely, dull places, and frustrating to use too. It’s grown so fast hasn’t it?! I just love how many people there are out there who are so into books!

I completely agree. And I was shocked how fast it has grown, too. It seemed when I first joined and fell in love with it I told all my fans/readers/friends about it, and no one had heard of it. Then a few months later it seemed everyone was joining. But a million people? Wow, I never would have guessed. Bravo to Otis for sure! Goodreads is definitely his dream come true.
