I have just finished the second book in the series (WHAT WITCHES WANT) and have begun the third (CALL OF THE WITCHES), In fact, I started backwards(!) and read the first chapter of the Drayton Manigault novel (A VAMPIRES KISS: BOOK ONE OF THE MANIGAULT VAMPIRES) before the first chapter of the third Witchery novel, so I am all over the place! It is fantastic how real you make everything: unlike any other author, you bring to life the atmosphere and the pets so vividly, as well as the human beings. I can “see” the gray tabby’s tail knocking the vampire romance paperbacks out of the built-in shelf… it is so vivid. And your action takes place almost like a movie scene being put into one’s mind’s eye… so that, sometimes I have to re-read a section to try to analyze how you did it. And it is difficult to put one’s finger on how you do it: sort of like the way some artists paint and draw, creating a great deal of substance and form with just a small line here and there… that’s how skillfully you write! I emailed Craig Ferguson to tell him that he ought to ask you onto his show sometime. I do not really “know” Craig Ferguson, un-fortunately; but I did try to write an interesting email that would get him excited about asking you to be on his show. I hope that he does!
