I Am What I Am. Uh-oh…!

Monday, February 8th, 2010

I had a fab conference call with my agent and Alex on Friday afternoon. Then my agent called that night to discuss a contract he’s working on for me.

In the course of the conversation he says: “When I tell people about you, I always say you’re the most honest person I know.”

I laugh and thank him for the compliment. “Well,” I reply. “I am what I am. What you see is what you get with me. I’m the same in person as I am on the web.”

“I know,” he agrees. “I admire that about you because it’s so unusual.”

The Dick of Your Dreams

It probably won’t come as a surprise when I tell you I’ve been on a sex toys kick for the last week. In fact, on Friday I ordered two pairs of nipple jewelry from my “Laura’s Naughty Sex Shop” on this site. They’re both danglers (the one with pink hearts and the one with stars). I had wanted to buy nipple jewelry for my birthday last April, and even wrote about it on my blog back them. But for some reason I never got around to it. Well, now I have! And I can’t wait to see Wes’s face when he undresses me and finds jewelry dangling from my nipples.

What fun!

Okay, back to sex toys. One of my Twitter friends mentioned a “sybain” last week. I didn’t know what that was, so he told me to google it.

I’ve Been a Kinky Girl for a Looooooong Time

Thanks, everyone, for your positive response to “Laura’s Naughty Sex Shop.” Yay!! All of you definitely made my day with your awesome comments at my website and Facebook. ;)

It was a lot of work, but also major fun gathering the cool stuff I’ve raved about in my blog posts in one convenient place for my readers. Of course, many of those items brought back memories.

Like the nipple jewelry and clips.

“Laura, I’ve been pretty behind lately, and so haven’t been FB’ing, etc. I got your newsletter today (yipee!) and so checked out the new site. I just LOVE it!! Congratulations, you did a super job! Your designer developed a beautiful, sexy (what else? *G*) background for you. So keep it up (intended), concentrate on getting those books out! You’ve really had a lot to deal with lately re: publishers, etc. but you’ve kept going . . . . Sorry I missed the info about the poetry book giveaway, but think it looks like a neat Xmas gift. Don’t forget me on your holiday hunk card – I just lost my hottie young boy toy so I’ll need to share yours :) ” (Cindy, Texas)

I know. I didn’t post on this blog yesterday. That’s because I dashed off to my monthly acupuncture appointment yesterday morning and didn’t have time to write a blog post.

I’m on Twitter Now!

With Wes gone on a 4-day company golf trip to Pinehurst, NC, I worked through the weekend.  Whew!

But I wasn’t the only one.  Alex, the brilliantly talented woman Rick assigned to create my new website, was hard at work too.  Not only did we accomplish lots on the new website, but Alex also set up a [...]

Where Have I Been Lately???

Monday, August 24th, 2009

Lots of you are wondering about that, aren’t you?  I know, because I’ve been receiving PMs and emails all week from my friends at EONS, Goodreads, and PaganSpace asking, "WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU????!!"

First, I want to thank everyone who PMed and emailed me.  You know how much I loooooooove to be wanted (lusty grin).  And I’m touched [...]

I’m on Facebook. Finally!

Wednesday, August 19th, 2009

What a crazy-busy week this has been.  It all started with an email Monday morning from Angie, one of my best friends in high school, who had just joined Facebook.  She encouraged me to join, too, and sent me to her profile page, where I saw people from high school and college I hadn’t seen for three decades.

Wow!

Not [...]
