For those of you who noticed, yes, I skipped my May newsletter. What can I say? Last month was like two months long. A fab month, but soooooo much happened. All of it good, but very hectic. And I was just too slammed to write a newsletter, so I thought I’d catch everyone up in this blog post.

The first of May my agent and I parted ways on friendly terms. And on May 2, I sent out a “Special Message” to all of you, explaining what had happened and why. I cannot thank you enough for your kind and generous response. I really felt your love at one of the lowest points of my career, emotionally and financially. I thank all of you from the bottom of my heart for the way you rallied around me. You are truly AMAZING!

Then on May 13, “A Vampire’s Kiss” went on sale in the Kindle Store. Yay! I’ve wanted to be in Kindle forever, so I’m thrilled about this. Sales have been strong and steady, so I’m a happy slut for sure.

Sorry I haven’t been posting and chatting as much as I usually do at Facebook, Twitter, and Goodreads. But I’ve been totally slammed for the last week, working out the millions of details involved in launching The Manigault Vampires serial.

In fact Kittyfeather Press publishing the vamp series in ebook marks a MAJOR turning point in my career. Yeah, this slut is finally positioned to take off and zoom into the stratosphere.

I finally finished the November issue of my naughty newsletter on Friday and sent it out to all my subscribers before dinner. Wes is usually late on Friday nights because he likes to watch the ballgames at his fav bar after work. So I eat dinner by myself, since he always grabs something on his way home.

I had just finished making a tasty roasted vegetable lasagna on a bed of organic peas and kidney beans, topped with sliced black olives, when Wes called.

“Hey, pretty girl, have you eaten yet?” he asks.

“Laura, I’ve been pretty behind lately, and so haven’t been FB’ing, etc. I got your newsletter today (yipee!) and so checked out the new site. I just LOVE it!! Congratulations, you did a super job! Your designer developed a beautiful, sexy (what else? *G*) background for you. So keep it up (intended), concentrate on getting those books out! You’ve really had a lot to deal with lately re: publishers, etc. but you’ve kept going . . . . Sorry I missed the info about the poetry book giveaway, but think it looks like a neat Xmas gift. I had major fun yesterday. Not to mention all kinds of extra time in the morning. That’s because from now on I’m only posting on my blog at my new website and nowhere else. Yeah, that felt realllllly strange.

This is gonna be a realllllly short blog post today. That’s because I have no brain cells left whatsoever. Seriously. I used them all up yesterday, laughing like crazy while I wrote the October issue of my naughty e-newsletter.

WOW you are so active and creative and amazing! I like strong independent women in my network for sure with their own drumbeat. I think that you are brave and honest and different…lol. Your honesty is refreshing!
